Makejail

The objective of makejail is to help an administrator creating and updating a chroot jail with short configuration files. Makejails attempts to guess and install into the jail all files required by the daemon. You have to understand how it works to configure it efficiently. To have an idea of how the configuration files look like, have a look at these examples (shipped in the tarball): apache. To have an idea of the actions done, look at these log files: apache on OpenBSD 3.0.

This script written in python retrieves the wav file from Merriaw-Webster Online. And launch a wav player to execute it. The license is the GPL. The source file is here. It uses a cache to store retrieved files, and require no other program but a wav player. You'll need the python. Interpreter to execute it. I've written it with Python 2.1 on GNU/Linux. I think it could be adjusted easily to work with an older python version, and no I have no idea if this can work on windows. If you have a question.

Webtrack tracks the differences on html pages and emails you the diff. It's written in python (I used version 2.1 on GNU/Linux Debian). Where config file.py is the configuration file. It must be in python syntax, here is example:. ToAddress="alain@onesite.org" fromAddress="webtrack@onesite.org" cacheDir="/home/alain/var/webtrack" tmpDir="/tmp" urls=["http:/ www.ellought.demon.co.uk/variants.htm"]. The documents are stored in cacheDir, tmpDir is a temporary directory where diff is executed.
