God’s Invitation to Moses and the Elders of Israel. Then He said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu and seventy of the elders of Israel, and you shall worship at a distance. Moses alone, however, shall come near to the Lord, but they shall not come near, nor shall the people come up with him.”. And Abihu, Eleaza...

Justice, Bribes, and Oppression - Exodus 23:6-9. 8220;You shall not pervert the justice due to your needy brother in his dispute. And then God warns His people to stay away from (have nothing to do with) a false charge. If you know someone is being falsely accused, there is no excuse whatsoever for us as Christians to be supportive of that accusation. Sometimes we do so for convenience, sometimes because we want...

I do not know about you, but I have often thought that we have too many holidays. Yes, some are even religious holidays although we have done our best to change even that. The third one, the Feast of the Ingathering (also known as the Feast of Booths) takes place after the last harvest of the year is gathered. It was for the purpose of giving t...
