Tuesday, January 23, 2007. It is ten past five on Tuesday afternoon. People are starting to leave and I am still sitting in front of this computer, revising (By the way, I am back in London and in the lab). The guys here keep coming to ask when is the big day, if I am stressed, if I feel ready, if there is going to be drinking after the thing finishes (of course there will be drinking, I will need a triple shot of tequila to recover! Or to knock myself down! How do I feel for the exam? Three days to go!

Thursday, November 30, 2006. I saw this programme yesterday on TV, about "Charreria" in Mexico. Basically, "charro" is that person that, in the times of the big "haciendas" use to take care of the cattle. As part of their job (but also for a bit of fun) they developed all kinds of tricks with ropes, in order to handle the animals: they can trap a female horse by tying the back legs while it is running(! Stop a cow by the tail with bare hands, mount a bull or change horses in movement. Links to this post.

Fue una ceremonia inolvidable en la que en una angarilla un grupo de jóvenes subió a la cumbre la simbólica piedra. Mapudungún, bosque verde, montaña) esta ubicado en la comuna de la Reina y es un lugar donde se puede compartir con la familia, posee varios senderos con distintos niveles de dificultad y donde la vista de Santiago es espectacular. Las fotos son del sendero que tiene como destino el cerro la Cruz, lo recomiendo pero para poder hacer este paso hay que proveerse de una buena cuota de agua y un buen estado fisico por que es bastante exigente.
