Monday, January 30, 2012. Chocolate Crinkles part 2. I used my zester again. Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Saturday morning, I woke up, got out the recipe, got started with the dough. And then realized it needs to chill for 3 hours before being balled up, sugared and baked. Whoops. I finished the dough anyway and set aside the dough for another occasion. Like most cookie dough recipes, this is a great make-ahead dough. Go ahead and melt, darlings. I'll be with you shortly. The orange sugar, it glitters!

Monday, May 14, 2012. Peanut butter cup brownies. Confession. I made these at the beginning of April. It's now the middle of May and I'm only now getting around to posting. Oops. They are brownies baked in mini muffin tins with peanut butter and chocolate chips spooned into the middle. They are the perfect combination of chocolate and peanut butter. They are bite size. Friday, November 11, 2011. Stir, add liquid, stir. Anyway, I've since made risotto a total of two times. Like I said, there's a lot of stirring involved. It's a lot of work for a one-person meal, you know? The first time was summery recipe with tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus and sausage. Tonight, to mark fall and the pumpkin season, it was pumpkin risotto. With pumpkin puree mixture and thyme added. Finished product, with the seared tuna peeking in from the side and sauteed greens in the background.

Two graham cracker cookies with a layer of chocolate and marshmallow frosting sandwiched between. Yea I know, right? Like the last post, I didn't modify the recipe at all, so I'm going to link directly to Cookies and Cups. Recipe calls for graham cracker crumbs. If you have a food processor, USE IT. That's all. Sewing, cooking, camping, exploring. Trough of Bowland calling. August 24, 2016. We looked at the weather rain, storms, thunder, hail. Rightoh, camping time! So off we went on Friday evening up to the Trough of Bowland about an hour and a half drive from Manchester for a weekend break.
