But what's better than the store bought candy that's been sitting on store shelves since summer? Homemade candy of course! 1 1/4 cup flour. 1/4 cup dark brown sugar. 1/4 cup confectioners sugar. 1 stick softened unsalted butter. Now, make the caramel. Recipe slightly adapted from GloriousTreats.com. 12 Tablespoons unsalted butter (melted). 3/4 cup dark brown sugar (i like to use a mix of dark and light). 1 egg plus 1 egg yolk. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in one teaspoon hot water. 1 3/4 cup flour. Broken Leg Tomato Gazpacho. 1 28 ounce can tomato sauce. 2 cups broth of choice. 1-2 chopped green onions. 2 tsp onion powder. 1/2 cup chopped green squash.
