Garden Phlox paniculata | Plants & Gardens
https://douggreen.wordpress.com/2006/07/18/garden-phlox-paniculata
July 18, 2006, 5:14 pm. If there ever was a backbone plant – a must-have for the cottage garden, Phlox paniculata is it. It blooms for the longest time (mid July through August) is slightly fragrant (depending on variety) makes a tremendous cut flower, is hardy, and normally can’t be killed by beginner gardeners. Pictured to the left is P. paniculata ‘Nora Leigh’. Propagated easily by cuttings or division, this is how to grow this almost perfect plant. Feed for comments on this post.

https://douggreen.wordpress.com/2006/07/11/summer-snowflake
July 11, 2006, 2:24 pm. The Summer and Spring Snowflake (more properly called Leucojum) are delightful very early spring and late spring-early summer bloomers that resemble their more popular cousin the snowdrop. Almost identical except for petal length, using the two species of Leucojum will extend the snowdrop-look for a longer time in your garden. Here are some pics of the plant. Naturalized etc. and here’s how the differences between the two species and how to grow. Feed for comments on this post.

Hardy Climbing Rose – John Cabot. June 24, 2006, 5:03 pm. John Cabot is one hardy rose and because it throws canes to 8-9 feet in a USDA zone 4, it can easily be pruned into a climbing rose. Instructions for growing it are here. Are here. Ive grown this rose trouble free (it is black spot and mildew resistant) for years.
