The Pre-Preparatory Phase introduces children to fundamental concepts that are central to successful learning in a secure and relaxed environment. Class sizes vary according to grade, and range from approximately 16 to 20 children per class. In our play rich environment, children use their senses to discover new things and learn the many lessons they will need before formal education begins in Grade 1.

Raquo; Social Responsibility. St Martin’s School has strong links with St Mary’s Children’s Home in Rosettenville, Masibambane College and Lesedi La Kreste in Orange Farm. During the year the pupils generously support the Salvation Army during Harvest Festival in the first term when they donate non-perishable food items. In the second term there is a blanket-and-jacket drive. In the third term the pupils support the Salvation Army by donating Christmas presents for the needy.

A further scholarship examination is usually held around March for any other Grade 7 student wishing to join the school in Grade 8.
