Friday, July 12, 2013. Rocket Launch Trip POSTPONED TO 8/10/13. Given the probability of bad weather for a good portion of tomorrow, we are postponing our trip to see the model rockets launch tomorrow. Instead, we will be scheduling this same trip for Saturday, August 10th. I will send out more of those details two weeks prior to the trip. If you would like to attend the August trip, please email me and let me know so I can plan for food. I will also find out if the bus will be available again.

Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Collecting for summer camp! Day Camp needs the following items donated. Oatmeal or other cardboard cans. Leftover wax or paraffin candles. Altoid or other similar tins. Pull up tops off bottles- water, dish soap, whatever! Paper towel and toilet paper rolls. Jenni is collecting every Tuesday in Bear room 303. Monday, May 6, 2013. Pack 268 is having their annual Cake Bake event on May 21st! A reminder of the rules:. 1 Scouts should be involved in the cake process! Get them baking, frosting, designing! 2 Cakes will be placed in three categories: Share, Throw, or Home. 3 Please bring a canned or boxed good to donate! If cakes are to be shared, they will be served for snack at the meeting. We will need serving utensils, so if anyone has one to bring, that would be great. If cakes are to be thrown.

Monday, July 8, 2013. July Event - Model Rocket Launch Event! Our July event will be watching the Northeast Florida Association of Rocketry launch many, many rockets. Rockets at these events start out by going a couple hundred feet in the air, up to over 5000ft! Some have been recorded as going over one mile up! Wednesday, May 15, 2013. On June 1st, the Jacksonville Sharks will be hosting a Scout Night with the Sharks. This is a great opportunity to see a game.AND.sleep on the field that night! Just bring your sleeping bag and enjoy a snack and a movie on the Jumbo Tron that night. The cost for the Youth Scout Ticket is $0 and the cost for the rest of the family is $14 per ticket.
