five kinds of happy: May 2015
http://www.fivekindsofhappy.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
May 29, 2015. Just like that, our girl is one. I can't get to the stage without thinking about all the times (alllllll the times) I would see other mothers with older babies and feel like they were somehow untouchable. Experienced. In the groove of it. And I can't help but feel in complete denial that we are already there at one year? And we don't feel like pros yet. But we have learned a lot. And you know, we still call her Little Baby and probably always will! How a year changes things. Another trip to...

five kinds of happy: December 2014
http://www.fivekindsofhappy.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Dec 17, 2014. DIY Chocolate truffles 3 ways. So back in the day I used to make chocolates, and sell them, and supply the odd wedding with them as favours. It was fun but I got really sick of making chocolates. To this day, people ask about them and since I finally have my chocolate-making mojo back I thought I'd share. Here are 3 flavours that I've been making for Christmas events and gifts lately. For the filling, the ingredients should be mixed to a smooth paste - sticky and not too firm, but not as ru...

five kinds of happy: July 2014
http://www.fivekindsofhappy.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Jul 8, 2014. A quick little post with a peek of our abode. And by abode I mean couch, I.E the place where I now live day in day out with a baby on the boob. I attempted to add some kind of intentional colour to this room recently - which meant literally going downstairs and opening up my massive cushion stash then throwing anything with the colour pink in it onto the couch. I just feel like pink these days, you know? Toy box bouncinette won't be going anywhere anytime soon}. Not shown: the basket hidden ...

five kinds of happy: April 2015
http://www.fivekindsofhappy.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Apr 22, 2015. Pictures of our house and stuff. I am always changing things in our house and one spur-of-the-moment move was this black wall in a corner of our living room. You saw a little peek of it with a picture hanging on it in this post. Here's how it fits into the room, with the new hot pink and patterned cushions. I could get really honest here and say 'Boy am I glad we didn't get new carpet because it's been pooed on twice in the past week! One of which was. But realised I have a kitchen full of ...

five kinds of happy: A Day in the Life
http://www.fivekindsofhappy.com/2015/06/a-day-in-life.html
Jun 8, 2015. A Day in the Life. Oh you want to know every boring detail of a day in the life of a one-year-old's mum? Who stays at home and has basically nothing to show for herself except a happy child who is still alive despite various accidents and incidents that scared the pants of both of us over the past year? You want a peep into this magical world of glamour and child-rearing? And then do all the dishes again and clean the floor again and change her outfit again and wash her face and hair again?

five kinds of happy: The nursery one year later {Then & Now}
http://www.fivekindsofhappy.com/2015/06/the-nursery-one-year-later-then-now.html
Jun 11, 2015. The nursery one year later {Then and Now}. You know how I basically never ever actually "finished" our nursery room for Ella because when I was pregnant I made really poor decorating decisions and couldn't be trusted? But I tried anyway? Well guess what, I still don't like it. But it has changed quite a lot and after a whole year of vaguely mentioning this (during my umm about 4 posts that I wrote in that time) I thought I may as well share some photos. Meaningless explanations aside, here ...

Aug 20, 2014. Everything you never wanted to know about tongue ties and breastfeeding. I have literally been trying to type this post for 5 days. wish me luck. Warning: this post contains lots of mummy-jargon. If you don't want to read about breastfeeding in great detail, turn back now! Everyone tells you that motherhood is hard. And it is hard - but in ways that you couldn't prepare for even if you knew what was coming. I KNEW this was not my baby. Her natural personality is one of the sweetest and ...

five kinds of happy: February 2015
http://www.fivekindsofhappy.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Feb 19, 2015. Spare bedroom - upholstered floral headboard and more. It was in my bucket list. Of things to get done around Christmas and amazingly the guest bedroom was all finished and painted on Christmas Eve, right before our guests arrived. One thing about our current house is that sometimes it looks better in person than in photos. I'm just learning this! It's the opposite to our last tiny place which photographed awesome. Anyhoo, here's the room from the doorway:. When we had just moved in]. The c...
