Rose Colored Glasses: How To Peel An Egg
http://rhondisrosecoloredglasses.blogspot.com/2012/02/how-to-peel-egg.html
Monday, February 13, 2012. How To Peel An Egg. This morning one of my facebook friends asked did anyone have a trick for peeling eggs. There were 31 comments: how long to boil it, how old the egg is, cool it in ice water, peel it under running water, roll it around the counter etc. There was only one other one besides me who knew the trick. Her name was Oma which I think means Grandmother. All you need is a spoon. Tap the egg lightly with a spoon to crack some of the shell. Slip a spoon under the shell.

Rose Colored Glasses: August 2012
http://rhondisrosecoloredglasses.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Repurposing, Sewing and Fluffing. Hello dear friends,. They look good tucked behind these smaller cushions I sewed last year. When I see cushions in magazines, they are always pushed down in the middle like this. I'm not sure which way I like them better. What do you think? Making these pillow covers is so easy, no zipper or anything. If you'd like to know how just let me know. It was so nice chatting with you today. Hope you have a great day! Rose Colored Glasses: January 2012
http://rhondisrosecoloredglasses.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 2, 2012. Thoughts on Stuff and Change. The new year brings with it the idea of a fresh start. Maybe this year I'll get some of those projects done. Maybe this year I'll finally start eating healthy. Maybe this year I'll overcome bad habits that I've had for so long it is embarrassing to think about it! Our attic has too many things I've picked up at yard sales with the intention of painting or repurposing. I have so many prints and paintings that are just very dated looking. We have a sof...

Rose Colored Glasses: Porch Party in October??
http://rhondisrosecoloredglasses.blogspot.com/2012/10/porch-party-in-october.html
Friday, October 19, 2012. Porch Party in October? If you are on my subscription list you may have received an email today which looked like I had published a new post. I apologize for that. I didn't post it and I don't know how that happened. But now that you are here why don't you stay for tea? It's a little chilly here right now and a hot cup of tea would hit the spot. Now I'll just go and put the kettle on. Lisa A Cottage To Me. October 19, 2012 at 9:17 AM. Cant wait to see the new you! Hi Rhondi - di...

Karoline Knits: February 2014
http://karolineknits.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 12, 2014. I was sitting watching the Olympics a couple of nights ago, and I was thinking about starting a new knitting project, but then I realized that I couldn't start something because I had unfinished business. I just wasn't happy with the arms on the baby Poonam. Links to this post. Monday, February 03, 2014. I'd better hurry and deliver it. We're back to kind of normal California winter weather. I'm not sure it even hit 50 degrees yesterday. Brrrrrr! Links to this post.

Karoline Knits: Still Knitting
http://karolineknits.blogspot.com/2015/01/still-knitting.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. I have loved this cowl pattern for quite a while, even though I have very little call for wearing a cowl made of thick yarn like this one. The pattern is called Vitamin C,. Weeks being mostly in charge of his. Meds since Paige usually either stays in Bakersfield during the week or isn't home from work until nearly midnight or later. Paige says that she's going to pay us back, but I won't hold her to it because I would have paid to try to give him a chance anyway, but I do hope...

Karoline Knits: September 2013
http://karolineknits.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 01, 2013. I posted a picture of my "Little Cotton Rabbits" bunny earlier, but I forgot to post the picture with the little headband. I knit for my grandneice, along with it. It was super easy, but cute, I think. I haven't been knitting much since this accomplishment. It's just so hot, and not conducive to wanting to work with wool, which is my favorite "medium.". In Solvang. They did a great job, as they always do, and even Russ stayed awake for all three hours. Links to this post.

Karoline Knits: Comfort Zone
http://karolineknits.blogspot.com/2014/08/comfort-zone.html
Sunday, August 31, 2014. Our first night in Monterey, after we'd gotten Kai moved in, he said that he needed "meat." Maybe because he was worried that we were intending to find a vegetarian restaurant or something, but I humored him and found a wonderful, little German restaurant- Stammtisch. And has been around for like twenty years and locals love it. We're going back for more than water next time. We've spent a lot of time in the car for the past two weekends, so I've gotten a lot of knitting done....

Karoline Knits: A Little Gardening
http://karolineknits.blogspot.com/2015/01/it-can-get-cold-in-central-california.html
Tuesday, January 06, 2015. It can get cold in Central California.really. I had thrown some overgrown chrysanthemums into this bucket and kind of forgotten about them a couple of weeks ago. Then it rained, and those poor discarded flowers kept blooming, peaking their faces above the water line, and then it froze, and they were still trying to survive. Last night I picked some of of my kale and lettuce to make a salad, and then I made a pesto with the chervil. It was quite good on Russ's homemade pizza...
