These Pilgrim Days: May 2014
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
This world is not our home. Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Tomorrow we celebrate 14 years of marriage. We won't see each other because Jeremy is out of town for work. But it's okay, because we got to steal a date on Sunday night in Palm Springs where Jeremy's parents watched the kids at the hotel and I went out with chlorine still in my hair. Fourteen years makes me comfortable, fourteen years makes me feel beautiful, fourteen years makes me feel confident, fourteen years makes me feel tired (ha! He thinks I am ...

These Pilgrim Days: December 2013
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
This world is not our home. Friday, December 20, 2013. To Jeremy On Graduation Day. On our first anniversary, I had “And I will go with you” engraved on your wedding band.a remembrance of the song our friends sang at our wedding and a commitment to not waiver on all that I had promised you and God. We went.to Carlsbad, Kazakhstan, to Oceanside, to Phoenix, to Tucson, then Flagstaff (with a little Mexico, Inner City LA and Europe mixed in between). I'm glad that I made that commitment to go with you so ma...

These Pilgrim Days: October 2014
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
This world is not our home. Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Luckily, our friends who planned the trip have all the camping gear one could possibly need, yet they prefer to sleep on real sheets and blankets in their SUV, so we got to use their tent. It was super rugged. Just kidding. Our little tent city.sorry fellow campers a few feet away (Southern CA campgrounds pack 'em in tight). We were a little loud. Friends from the kids' school. Love them! I already feel myself making the "it's the holidays" excuse&...

These Pilgrim Days: November 2014
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
This world is not our home. Wednesday, November 5, 2014. School Mornings: My Magnum Opus. I think getting the husband and kids out the door on a school/work day is the largest feat of my day. At this stage of life, it is the thing that takes the most focused energy, presence of mind, and tenacity than any other part of my day. I mean are you guys like this? I start the day all:. This girl will continue to sing this song until you're crazy so go ahead and mute your computer). If I hit snooze again and acc...

These Pilgrim Days: April 2015
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
This world is not our home. Sunday, April 19, 2015. We took a trip to Flagstaff after Christmas to have some time to ourselves and see old friends. It was good for us.so good. It just always feels like going home to our people, even though "home" is a lot of places for us. Jeremy really loves the mountains (well, we all do- I don't know what we're going to do in the flat Mid West! One night was so cold that the snowflakes sparkled in a way I'd never seen before. It was amazing! And they were like (sing-s...

These Pilgrim Days: March 2014
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
This world is not our home. Monday, March 31, 2014. We had Sam's 9th birthday at a local BMX track. It was a really fun day! I will let the pictures tell the story, or you can visit his blog at samueltodd.blogspot.com. To hear about it in his own words. I'm still kicking myself for not snapping a photo with him and the sign. I didn't really get too many good pictures of him because there was so much going on, and I was busy riding! The one good action shot we got of him. He loved the track! It's not an a...

These Pilgrim Days: February 2014
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
This world is not our home. Friday, February 21, 2014. Because I'm the Mom. I posted these pictures and crafted this blog post in my mind about 4 months ago. And then life happened. Lots of life. So now here it is, super late but not forgotten! I'll try to remember my original train of thought but it might get a little random and we'll go with it, k? And then I was complaining about this:. To which another friend, with perfect timing, answered, "Because you're the mom, that's why." Touche. Well-p...I get...

These Pilgrim Days: Saying Goodbye to iHouse Fullerton
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2015/07/cultural-differences.html
This world is not our home. Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Saying Goodbye to iHouse Fullerton. One year ago, we committed to renting a house we couldn't afford with the plan to rent rooms to international students and with the hopes of building community and relationships. Now, a year later, we are planning to leave.with deeper relationships than we ever thought possible, and with the house continuing on in the same vein as our friends take it over and continue hosting students. I'm going to miss. Messages on...

These Pilgrim Days: June 2015
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
This world is not our home. Thursday, June 25, 2015. Somehow, despite what I thought was my careful planning, I ended up with 3 kids in activities at the same time. It got a little crazy, but we made it through and they all did well! Evan was on the Blue Knights for soccer. He loves playing goalie. They made it to the playoffs and had an exciting semi-final game which they one in shoot outs after overtime. They didn't win the final, but it was a good season. This is "A Dream is a Wish". So Jeremy and I g...

These Pilgrim Days: Too Much Moving: An Update
http://thesepilgrimdays.blogspot.com/2015/07/too-much-moving-update.html
This world is not our home. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Too Much Moving: An Update. Yes, our cul-de-sac has been graced with a Christmas tree in the window all year long). Which brings me to my next update: our plans for Chicago. We are moving to Chicago-ish for Jeremy to get a PhD at Wheaton College. Everyone who has been to Wheaton loves it, but I haven't been there so I don't know much. Except that there aren't mountains. That stinks. Except maybe not everyone at once because like I said, small house).
