The exact origin of the Weimaraner, originally known as the Weimar Pointer, is not known. Paintings depict the gray hunting dog as early as the 1600’s and some believe that the Weimaraner is the descendent of ancient French hunting dogs. Our new campus is located at 1930 D Road, Loxahatchee, FL 33470. We are easily reached by taking Okeechobee Blvd. West. D road will be on your left. Turn left onto D road and use the second Big Dog Ranch Rescue entrance on D road. The first entrance is the construction entrance. Our Campus is under construction. We are so excited to be building our new facility - just wait until it's completed. We do adoptions at Petco. Every Tuesday - Friday from 11am - 4pm. 920 FL State Road 7, Wellington FL 33414.
