https://veggingoutinttown.wordpress.com/2013/06/10/jacked-up-jackfruit
I have eaten jackfruit a few times and have long been curious to cook with it at home. Over a year ago, Mr. X and I tried some barbecue jackfruit tacos from the Seabirds truck. Which we absolutely loved. When Elise posted about barbecue jackfruit. Recently and I already had a trip to the Thai market planned for our Sri Lanka meal, I knew the timing was meant to be. I decided to go a step further and add fried avocado wedges, too, based on another Seabirds taco. The combination was wonderful! We are eatin...

Because I love food: First time foraging for Shrooms
http://annielovesfood.blogspot.com/2010/05/first-time-foraging-for-shrooms.html
Because I love food. Tuesday, May 25, 2010. First time foraging for Shrooms. Hilarious picture of some mycologist and some morels. I went on a super awesome walk with my puppy! I know this isn't the season for most mushrooms, but in some reading I was doing, I found out it was Morel season, a mushroom that brings in about 40$/lb. at a regular market. They are also very tasty, so I wanted to try my luck. I found two oyster mushrooms! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Because I love food.

Something sweet | Vegging Out
https://veggingoutinttown.wordpress.com/2013/06/13/something-sweet
A coworker spent two weeks in Okinawa and brought us goodies. Mine was this incredibly fun Matcha Kit Kat:. And the candy inside:. I really enjoyed this treat! The aftertaste was like buttercream frosting — that’s the best comparison I can make. I didn’t notice a green tea flavor at all, thanks to all the sugar, but I would definitely sample one again. She brought a beautiful tin box of these little guys to my boss, who has been generous enough to share with all of us:. Didn’t they turn out cute? These a...
