It is definitely not the prettiest place in Washington to fly fish but sometimes you go where the fish are. James scored on this nice coho as well before we had to head in for the evening. Fly Fishing and All That Implies. Who writes this stuff? June 8, 2012. 6 Weeks…So much fishing. Wow…the last 6 weeks have been a blur. I began working at a fly shop. I will soon be blogging over there as well) and therefore, I have been a damn fishin’ fool for the better part of the last two months. In an attempt to catch up on the exploits, I’m not going to post a thorough account of each trip but rather hit the highlights and offer up some photos. We got settled in and quickly headed to the river.

Sunday, October 19, 2014. Some fisheries can be downright intimidating. The current river we're camped on defines this for me. Many fisheries are intimidating right off the bat just due to newness. Figuring out where to fish is just the start. When dealing with a large river you also may question your casting skills and think you must boom out spey casts to even stand a chance. Next up I'll be trying to catch some warmwater species on our travels to Tennessee. Labels: dry line steelhead.
