The Cache la Poudre, designated a Wild and Scenic River by the National Park Service, begins in the peaks of Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park and flows down the slopes of the Front Range. Connecting Fort Collins and Walden, Highway 14 follows much of the river, allowing fairly easy access to the two wild trout areas. This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

The Snake River originates in Yellowstone National Park, flows through Jackson Lake in Grand Teton National Park, then south and west into Idaho and northwest to its junction with the Henry’s Fork. In addition, Jerry caught a significant number of whitefish, leading to speculation that he might soon open a delicatessen.

The South Fork of the Snake River in Idaho is a tailwater fishery, emerging from the Palisades Reservoir and stretching some 60 miles to its confluence with the Henry’s Fork.
