WPS confirmed our potential as industry game changer | The flyiin Experience
http://blog.flyiin.com/2016/10/30/wps-discussions-confirmed-our-potential-as-industry-game-changer
WPS confirmed our potential as industry game changer. Earlier this month, we had the chance to attend IATA’s Word Passenger Symposium in Dubai. As now usual since it was launched three years ago, an entire track was dedicated their New Distribution Capability (NDC) program. One more reason for us to be there and hear where the industry stands in terms of adoption. THE QUESTION ABOUT NDC IS NO LONGER ABOUT ‘IF’, BUT ‘WHEN’. OUR CONCEPT OF MARKETPLACE IS NOW RECOGNISED AND VALUED. We were also delighted to...

Meet the team! | The flyiin Experience
http://blog.flyiin.com/2016/09/02/meet-the-team
The last few weeks have been really exciting. We have secured some initial funding, have launched the foundation work of our online marketplace product and… put together a great and highly skilled team of ‘builders’ and ‘designer’s from our partners. Is our lead developer and our in-house NDC expert! He’s the brain behind the NDC-based API aggregation platform that powers our product, and is leading its development, testing and deployment. Implementation into our aggregation platform. Is our UX/UI design...

Sharing views on travel distribution, tech and startups. Daily Archives: October 7, 2015. October 7, 2015. Is making a very bold move: instead of relying on GDS search and booking technology – as most new online travel players do, we have chosen to build our own distribution platform, leveraging and aggregating the IATA’s NDC-based APIs, which airlines are starting to deploy. The interesting thing is that we actually have developed a very first and basic iteration of our NDC Aggregation Gateway, based on...

Sharing views on travel distribution, tech and startups. April 25, 2016. At a recent industry event, I was asked by a former colleague whether I’d be interested in taking part in a workshop on innovation organised by his company. Because of my relevant (although relatively young) experience with flyiin, he thought I could bring a different perspective on this topic. And the answer that came immediately to my mind was: people. At flyiin, we now have a solid and completely aligned management team. And ...

Sharing views on travel distribution, tech and startups. April 30, 2015. Flyiin is the chosen name for the travel tech startup project, which I was referring to in my first post of the year and remained quite secretive about. We’re now ready to go public and explain how we plan to change the dynamics of a travel vertical that in our view badly needs to be re-thought: online air travel. As consumers, we would like to be able to easily compare the detailed offering from all the airlines operating our desir...

NDC certification? Checked. | The flyiin Experience
http://blog.flyiin.com/2016/09/27/ndc-certification-checked
Great news from IATA today. The API aggregation platform, which we have built to power our online marketplace, has just been ‘NDC-certified’. For those who have been following us closely during the past months, it shouldn’t come too much as a surprise as we made it very clear from day one that NDC were to be at the core of our technology and of our product. Big thanks also to our friends at Iberia who provided us with their (very well implemented! NDC API to get our platform certified. WPS confirmed our ...
