Friday, January 27, 2012. Pigskin Wisdom for the Playoff Season. As we all get ready for Super Bowl Sunday which will cap a particularly spectacular playoff this year, I thought all you fellow football fans might enjoy this piece from the Wall Street Journal written by an enlightened Englishman:. Soccer is called the beautiful game. But football is chess, played with real pieces that try to knock each other's brains out. It doesn't get any more beautiful than that. Wednesday, January 23, 2013. In Their Own Words. Moments after I published the last post on the new abortion clinic in Columbus, I came across this graphic. And some still defend the moral foundation of Planned Parenthood. Links to this post. Where Angels Once Played. The email reproduced below from a woman in Central Ohio is a poignant reminder of the insidious and deceitful nature of the abortion industry. The irony is cruel, and the loss of life staggering. Through the years I would continue to experi...

Tim Madrid: January 2010

Saturday, January 16, 2010. January 14th (exactly three months after Nina went into labor) we were all finally at home together. Killian was a trooper and fought his way through numerous medical conditions to win his triumphant homecoming. Links to this post. All strapped in for the trip home. Killian was such a good sport for the trip home. He slept the entire way home and didn't make a noise, though he flashed an occasional smile at Mom who was sitting next to him. Links to this post. Tim Madrid: September 2012
http://timothymadrid.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 19, 2012. I'm not a big fan of election summers. They're typically an endless barrage of political ads, mudslinging and media personalities bickering about the latest gaffe or mishap. I decided months ago who I was going to vote for (and his name rhymes with "pit" in case you were wondering), so all the chatter is meaningless to me. Our choices have lasting and far-reaching consequences. This election is no exception. Think about it, and make it count! Links to this post.

Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Where Angels Once Played. In the wake of the shocking tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary last month our nation has collectively mourned the loss many innocent, young children. Their lives were cut short and they can never be replaced - particularly in the hearts of their families. Many have drawn attention to the contrast of our reaction to this recent tragedy with the ongoing large-scale destruction of life known as abortion. Through the years I would continue to experience th...

Monday, January 24, 2011. Read below and find out for yourself:. By Dr Peter Kreeft. Win any war, the three most necessary things to know are: (1) that you. At war, (2) who your enemy is, and (3) what weapons or strategies can defeat him. You cannot win a war (1) if you simply sew peace banners on a battlefield, (2) if you fight civil wars against your allies, or (3) if you use the wrong weapons. Here is a three point checklist for the culture wars. 1 We Are at War. Why is life so good today? There is a ...
