The creative journey of a Rug Artist. 8216;Oonapais Vineyard’ made it into Celebrations XX as an Honourable Mention… yeah! It was difficult to select ‘close-up’ s for this little piece… they were meaningless. Thank you Celebration Judges; you saw the sunlight and the mountain! I hooked this rug at Cambria Pines Rug Camp in Diane Stoffel’s class. I came to camp with 5 Landscape patterns and planned to hook 1-a-day! From ragged edges to blending colours…. On July 21, 2010. Patricia Winans Designs: January 2014
http://patriciawinansdesigns.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 4, 2014. Hooking En Plein Air. William Mitton Covered Bridge, Albert County, NB. When the weather is nice, it's very relaxing to work outside. Equipped with a comfortable chair, I make the sketch, colour it in and make further colour notes. After putting the design on the linen and choosing what I think I will need for the wool or fibre, its outside again to begin hooking. Hooking 'en plein air' is much, much better! November on the Petitcodiac Marsh. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Patricia Winans Designs: September 2013

Friday, September 20, 2013. A Day with Danielle Oulette - and A Day at the Grand Lake Stream Folk Art Festival. This week's project in progress! Summer time brings lots of opportunities to travel a bit and take in outdoor activities. For me that usually includes something to do with textile art - such as visiting a farm to take pictures of the animals who donate their fleece to the cause, or going to a fair or festival. The creative journey of a Rug Artist. 039;Little Mabel' 2003 wool on linen. I assembled my wool pallette and cut #3 strips in anticipation of our workshop. Mabel’s face and hands required a few strips and came together very quickly! I’m still using those #3 cut wool strips… whenever I need some skin tones… Ha! I share Thomas with my mother… he’s at my house presently… here on the desk. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:.

Sunnie Andress and Old Crow Farm now in Vancouver, Washington. Original Hooked Rugs and Santas, Witches and other characters by Sunnie. Mystery Rug-HHHD-Sunnie/rug hooking/Halloween rugs-Day 12. I’m really enjoying this rug and only have about 1/4th left to do! And it should go pretty fast unless more pumpkins intervene (or “life” does! This “close-to-the-finish” time is always delightful for me because so much is hooked and the design is coming into focus! Now Chauncy isn’t another “Lamont C...But he IS...
