The Very Busy Resource Teacher. Friday, August 9, 2013. Back from Being MIA: Classroom Under Construction - 1st Full Day in the Room. Well I've been MIA for a few weeks for a good reason.I was wrapping up my Master's in Educational Leadership including finishing my Internship Portfolio! I am proudly a Graduate! I moved rooms this year (as pictures in previous posts have definitely showed lol), and have to get my room done by Wednesday because that's when the kiddos arrive! I'm working on covering this.

The Very Busy Resource Teacher. Sunday, June 30, 2013. Linking up with Farley. A day early for the July Currently! Hey, Hey this month I'm not late with it! For some reason Elf is on TV right now; maybe they have the whole "Christmas in July" Theory, but it's okay because I love this movie! Also, my boyfriend has been dog sitting his sister's dogs for the the past 10 days and we're getting ready to take them back to his sister's now! They're too cute though :-(. I really need to get my butt in gear!

Wednesday, June 26, 2013. What You Can Do with an Overhead Projector. It is no mystery that I am not an artist. I can barely draw a straight line and I definitely cannot cut one. Sad, just sad. But with the use of my overhead projector, I was able to create this mural for my baby boy's nursery. And this for our living room. Forgive me for the horrible quality of this picture! No decals, all freehand paint. I did the same thing for the tree. Except I found the tree online. Easy, inexpensive and fun. I tea...

Yes, we have been progress monitoring; but that does little to tell parents where their kids are right now and where they need to be. We have about 6 weeks left until EOY benchmarks.eeek! Is your class ready? Click on the picture to get this for free! I use lots of colors in data and assessment charts! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, August 25, 2014. Today was the first day of school! My ninth one to be exact and I was the least nervous that I have been my entire career. Usually the first day brings a terrible stomach ache, shaky nerves, and lots of prayers. But today, I was pumped up! It may be because I love my school and the families that go there. I've been there 4 years and it truly feels like a second home. Speaking of, I made a few changes to the room that I wanted to share. Here are just a few little snippets of my ne...

http://therungsofreading.blogspot.com/2014/03/colleens-march-currently.html
Friday, March 7, 2014. Are you happy it's Friday? I sure am. It was a fun, but long week in the classroom! Today I'm linking up (about a week late) with Farley from Oh' Boy 4th Grade. For her infamous Currently series. Listening: I missed Grey's last night because I was asleep by 8:50. whoops! Except truthfully, this teacher was so thankful for that because I've been sick all week and super tired. I woke up this morning quite refreshed! This one was tough for me to think of a question and I highly doubt ...
