Ew land meant new opportunity and also new challen. Ges Our patch of soil up in the hills turned out to be ro. Cky, sandy and mineral rich gravely loam. There was not much carbon matter in the area where we wanted to rebuild the greenhouse. This meant creating our own soil stock base for the greenhouse. Our initial soil project was done with 30 yards certified organic compost from Baily's of Snohomish, about 8 yards of our own native soil, and lots of worm castings from our own compost piles.
