Will eventually lead to single pilot cockpits in commercial flights. I remember the controversy when the flight crews were reduced from 3 to 2. So fly somewhere . Why not to Portugal? The weather was perfect yesterday and I was able to get out and do a little more tailwheel practice. I did some steep turns, various stalls and slow flight and then a few landings at 2W5. A description of what I'm up to in aviation. Thursday, September 16, 2010. Instrument training and longest XC yet. After finishing graduate school in Jun I resumed my instrument training (finally). I did a few flights in a RedBird sim and then did an XC with my instructor recently. We flew KJYO - KECG (precision approach) - KEDE (non-precision approach) - KJYO (GPS approach). We finished the requirements for the Virginia Aviation Ambassadors program. It was great to be back in the air together. Though a little warm, it was a pretty good flying day for summer. Last month I celebrated getting my commercial rating by attending my first Women in Aviation International ( WAI. Conference in Atlanta. (Since then, I've also gone skiing, taken on a new job at a new company, and begun work on my CFI. So more will be coming! Julia and Jonathan made their arrival (somewhat unexpectedly) and immediately took over our hearts and lives! After almost 2 weeks in the NICU, we brought them home and began a new life as a family of four. A month after the twins were born, I took my first flight as a new mom! What a fun day!
