Notes from a Wandering Traveller: Day trip to Gaultois August 4th
http://notesfromawanderingtraveller.blogspot.com/2011/08/day-trip-to-gaultois-august-4th.html
Notes from a Wandering Traveller. Thursday, August 4, 2011. Day trip to Gaultois August 4th. The ferry we took left Hermitage at 11:15AM and arrived in Gaultois half an hour later. She is the Terra Nova from Ottawa and costs a mere $1:00 per trip for seniors. We rode outside as you can't see much from the cabin. We stayed in Hermitage Bay with land nearby the whole trip. Looking back at Hermitage. A rock covered with gulls along the way. Pulling in to Gaultois. Joanne got this picture of a pitcher plant.

http://notesfromawanderingtraveller.blogspot.com/2011/08/gander-to-saskatoon-august-9.html
Notes from a Wandering Traveller. Friday, August 19, 2011. Gander to Saskatoon - August 9. We stayed over night in Gander and had a nice lesiurely breakfast together before Joanne took us to the airport. I enjoyed myself and am super impressed with the amount of places we saw here in two weeks. Now I am heading home to prepare for a trip to South America, but before I go I will share some pictures from inside the house. Well, have a look at this! A kitchen full of oak cabinets. Enjoy my other blogs.

Notes from a Wandering Traveller: February 2011

Notes from a Wandering Traveller. Monday, February 28, 2011. Accidentally went to the beach. Fun day! I hopped on the Metro this morning intending to go to the harbour and see if I could book a ferry trip part way to my next destination but no they just go to a little island close by which didn't help. I think there is another harbour I could check though. Anyway, I looked around while I was there and was planning to take the Metro to some other interesting place. Some views from up there. You can't see ...

Notes from a Wandering Traveller: August 2nd Back to Fortune
http://notesfromawanderingtraveller.blogspot.com/2011/08/august-2nd-back-to-fortune.html
Notes from a Wandering Traveller. Wednesday, August 3, 2011. August 2nd Back to Fortune. We had some nice sun first thing this morning but soon the rain and fog rolled in. We did some shopping and were getting frustrated because each store keeps different hours and the museums are even worse. We were getting to know the people in the coffee shop. Here is another street view. The buildings look quite old. Here the girls are waiting by the pier for the ferry to load for the 2:30 trip back to Canada. Retire...

Notes from a Wandering Traveller: November 2010
http://notesfromawanderingtraveller.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Notes from a Wandering Traveller. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Mandalay, day one, Nov 22. Arrived in Mandalay at dawn at the dusty bus depot on the edge of town. Here we go off to the guest house. The man on the left was my driver from the bus depot and the one on the right was my soon-to-be-driver for the rest of the time I was there. He operated his taxi from a spot across from my guest house. This is a taxi. Nuff. Then I was off to see the largest temple. As usual, people are sitting in the temple.

Notes from a Wandering Traveller: January 2011

Notes from a Wandering Traveller. Sunday, January 30, 2011. Vang Vieng - Small town Laos Jan 30. This town took me by surprise. It is only about 20,000 plus for population but it certainly has character. I booked my place online and it kind of surprised me too. It is clean though and wasn't all that bad so by morning I had come to terms with it. Pictures tomorrow. It doesn't take long to walk out to the country, which is beautiful. We are beside the Xong river and near the mountains. My room has a king s...

Notes from a Wandering Traveller: Home to Hermitage Aug 3rd
http://notesfromawanderingtraveller.blogspot.com/2011/08/home-to-hermitage-aug-3rd.html
Notes from a Wandering Traveller. Wednesday, August 3, 2011. Home to Hermitage Aug 3rd. We left Clarinville in the morning and drove as far as Gander by lunch. We did manage to find another gift shop in Gander too. Then we headed off for the four hour drive to Hermitage. Just outside of Hermitage is a huge eagle's nest that you can see in the clearing between the trees. There was a baby bird inside calling for its mother. Just some greenery along the road. I'm loving the wild flowers. Enjoy my other blogs.

Notes from a Wandering Traveller: December 2010
http://notesfromawanderingtraveller.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Notes from a Wandering Traveller. Friday, December 31, 2010. New Years Eve day on the Mekong delta. Today I booked a bus and boat trip to the mouth of the Mekong River. As we were waiting for the bus to load this bagel vendor went by balancing a tray on his head and when I got out my camera he took the pan down. I motioned to him to put it up again for the picture and he motioned me to buy a bagel. The city is clean and modern with wide streets which are plum full of motorbikes. I like it here. Snake win...
