Sanjeev's Random Thoughts!: September 2005
http://jeevz.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Straight From The Heart! Monday, September 12, 2005. The more I expect. the worse it gets! This is what I've learned in life so far! Humans in general have tendency to have expectations from every other human being. In many cases, this leads to aweful amount of stress creating emotional distress, conflicts, breakdowns, mistrusts, misunderstandings and what not! Expectations can be from one's one self or from others. Both of them have caused trouble for me atleast! I'm way too lazy! Its bad when I look at...

Sanjeev's Random Thoughts!: October 2005
http://jeevz.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html
Straight From The Heart! Thursday, October 13, 2005. The last few days saw one of the worst tragedies of my life! A huge natural calamity devastating cities and villages in Northern Pakistan and Kashmir! The killing toll is increasing everyday and the scenes are very depressing! Poor and helpless people, alot of them dead while others injured and the rest homeless! The only good thing to see during last few days was the amazing spirit shown by Pakistanis especially Karachiites! What are we upto? They hav...

Hacking MySQL 5!: Fun begins!
http://mysql5.blogspot.com/2005/06/fun-begins.html
A ride through MySQL 5.0 source code and features! Saturday, June 18, 2005. I didn't take part in Google's Summer Code so I decided I'll hack MySQL this summer. We have lots of assignments and projects in the summer so it was kind of tough to take up the Google Summer Code Challenge! There's a robotics competition in August and I'm hoping to take part in that as well. I'm going to take a crack at MySQL 5 internals this summer and I'll post all my findings right here on this blog! Comments: Post a Comment.

Hacking MySQL 5!: December 2005
http://mysql5.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
A ride through MySQL 5.0 source code and features! Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Lockout from DROP TABLE. This is a probably bug in MySQL! Unless I had write access to my data directory, I'd be in a really painful situation! Allow DROP TABLE for zombie tables. Maybe a new CHECK DATABASE operation which checks all tables for such consistency issues. Posted by Whiz Kid : 8:23 AM 44 comments. View my complete profile.

CREATE FUNCTION encrypto2 (s CHAR(255) RETURNS char(255). DECLARE mylen INT;. DECLARE cnt INT;. DECLARE result CHAR(255);. SET result = " ;. SET mylen = LENGTH(s); - oohh, this hurts multibyte! SET cnt = 1; - SUBSTRING starts from index 1! WHILE mylen = cnt DO. SET result = CONCAT(result,CHAR(ORD(SUBSTRING(s,cnt,1) 1) ;. SET cnt = cnt 1;.

Hacking MySQL 5!: Runaway Daemon
http://mysql5.blogspot.com/2005/06/runaway-daemon.html
A ride through MySQL 5.0 source code and features! Thursday, June 23, 2005. Not another Julia movie but this is a disaster! Running MySQL 5 out of the box with default setting, this code means sudden death (both CPU and memory resources! DROP FUNCTION IF EXISTS runaway;. CREATE FUNCTION runaway () RETURNS char(255). DECLARE result CHAR(255);. SET result = " ;. SET result = CONCAT(result,'a');. END LOOP maddy;. Implement a time-limit mechanism, which the administrator can enforce. Search engines try it.
