Friends of Galveston Island State Park. Volunteering to preserve, enhance and educate. Beach and bay explorations. New Years 5K/10K Fun Run/Walk. Saturday, January 7, 2017. Sponsored by Friends of Galveston Island State Park. Early registration is $25 (all ages);. Registration is $30 after December 1, 2016. A small service fee will be added when you register online. Park entry fees are waived for the morning of the race. A race day technical T-shirt and goodie-bag will be provided to every participant.
