My Peace Corps Experience in Eastern Europe! Tuesday, January 31, 2012. That is the temperature tonight. -10 degrees.in Celsius that is. For those of you back home-that's a balmy 14 degrees Fahrenheit! I shouldn't complain as I am in the warmest county of the country. But lord.I am still freezing. The walk to school is insane in the morning as the wind whips through my jacket chilling me to my core and my nose doesn't even run because my snot is frozen. Too much information? Thank God I don't have a beard.

Sara in Romania: November 2011
http://sarainromania.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
My Peace Corps Experience in Eastern Europe! Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Thanksgiving with the Ambassador and Language Weekend. And called it an early night. Moreni-Sara's view every night. Everything went as planned on Thanksgiving-we took a maxi-taxi to Bucharest and got ready at the Peace Corps Headquarters. I felt almost like I was back at the dorms in college again-5 girls getting ready, curling hair and trying to iron out the wrinkles in dresses and jackets before heading out. So fun! Aran keeping ...

A day of firsts | Making a Change?
https://onlyonechance.wordpress.com/2011/10/06/a-day-of-firsts
Just another WordPress.com site. A day of firsts. Well, it’s been a time of firsts for me lately, and last Friday was a particularly ‘adventurous’ day. My day started out well, it was actually a beautiful day, the first after the most terrifying electric storms. I could have won a sprint race with the speed at which I raced inside cursing all sorts of unmentionables. Myself and Little B spent the rest of the afternoon in bed😉. What was usually a placid slow meandering stream. A day in my life since maki...

Sara in Romania: To my Dad.
http://sarainromania.blogspot.com/2012/06/to-my-dad.html
My Peace Corps Experience in Eastern Europe! Sunday, June 17, 2012. Hanging out in San Cristobal, Guatemala. To the man who taught me how to ride a bike, roller skate, and control a Flyer sled down a steep hill. Thank you for always encouraging me to pick myself back up when I fell, no matter how big the wipeout. Oh just Harold on a boat. To the man who taught me the value of money and the importance of hard work. To the man who taught me to NEVER settle and to accept ONLY respect from a man. To the man ...

My Peace Corps Experience in Eastern Europe! Friday, June 29, 2012. Last Week at Site. There are a thousand words I could write about my two years here in Recas. Words about how I arrived in this town expecting to change lives and inspire kids, when in return, they were the ones who taught me so much. Words about how I have a second family here now. Friends for life. Words about how I will miss them all, more than they know. Thank you.for everything. This is the winery owner's son, who just HAPPENED to p...

Sara in Romania: April 2012
http://sarainromania.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
My Peace Corps Experience in Eastern Europe! Sunday, April 8, 2012. I spent the morning with my parents at a great church in London-Trinity Church. It was really contemporary, complete with a rock worship band and a coffee bar. Instead of listening to a sermon by the pastor, there was a reenactment of the moments and events after Jesus rose from the dead. And I was able to have communion for the first time in almost 2 years. And everyone sat on mats on the floor. Which is actually a big deal. After 6 mon...

My Peace Corps Experience in Eastern Europe! Monday, June 13, 2011. You can see his little back healing. Veronica took her home, called the vet, and Lulu was given a bath, shots, and medicine. He's doing much better now-playing and jumping around when I went to visit him today. He's already following Veronica around and doesn't seem to be in any pain, thank goodness. Following Veronica in the garden. I love her garden.flowers and plants everywhere. She was giving Lulu cherry earrings.ha. We Built a House!
