Folk and Fancy: January 2012
http://www.folkandfancy.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 8, 2012. All Love does is Win. Summer camps mean a lot of things to a lot of people and this one means a lot to me. You know those kids that wait at the mailbox for the registration brochure, attend the very first week of camp, are the last ones in their cabin to leave, and sing every new song they learned over and over on the ride home until they pass out or their parents scream "uncle? Can my two month old baby clear brush? The day after the fire started:. Fire - 0, Love - 1. Next up, p...
Folk and Fancy: Bloom Update
http://www.folkandfancy.blogspot.com/2013/04/bloom-update.html
Thursday, April 18, 2013. We've already hit a few days in the 90s, so summer is already around the corner. New buds are opening up everyday. Irises are already on their way out, but roses are coming in! Some random white rose - maybe a miniature? I'm open to suggestions. Out come the yellow bells/esparanza. Veggies and fruits are getting in the act too. Baby cucumbers.. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Austin, TX, United States. View my complete profile. Eulogy of a Garden Tool.
Folk and Fancy: August 2011
http://www.folkandfancy.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 31, 2011. For the love of elbow grease. Looks like some babies had a taste for walnut. This stuff worked wonders! I am thrilled with the way the whole thing turned out - shiny, polished, but still well-loved. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. How does your garden grow? It seems insane to plant seeds right now, when there's no water to be found and even established plants are burning up, but it's time! Isn't it amazing how tiny seeds are? And how quickly they transform? My cucumbers are already ...
Folk and Fancy: Blueberry Muffins - that happen to be healthy
http://www.folkandfancy.blogspot.com/2012/01/blueberry-muffins-that-happen-to-be.html
Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Blueberry Muffins - that happen to be healthy. And gave it my best shot. Bonus, she even provides an awesome Arcade Fire soundtrack. First, as all people naturally do, I gathered all the necessary ingredients and posed them for glamour shots. Bonus points to the nerd who figures out which ingredient I forgot in this picture. Add the concoction to your dry ingredients and stir until almost blended. Here's my interpretation of "almost blended.". Makes 8 large muffins. 3/4 cup wh...
Folk and Fancy: July 2011
http://www.folkandfancy.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 29, 2011. So I had a few apples laying around that were past their prime, but I hated the idea of tossing so much good food in the compost. I don't like applesauce, so that wasn't an option. Then I came across this recipe for Apple Pecan bread. It sounded perfect since I also have some pecans in the pantry being under-appreciated. So today, instead of getting my homework done, I baked. I used my old school pint-size food processor to cut em up, but eventually I got to two cups. 1 cup pecans,...

thoughts.: July 2010
http://sarascamplife.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, July 22, 2010. I haven't posted in a while, so here's a catch up of my summer so far. We can still have campfires! The means it rains and cancels some fun activities during the day, but a nice campfire at night is always worth it. Although that's debatable when it's still 90 degrees at 10 pm, but whatever. These kids were doing smores after worship and I tried many different exposures until I got this one. But seriously, my new point and shoot has double the mega pixels of my silly Canon Rebel.
thoughts.: we're engaged!
http://sarascamplife.blogspot.com/2012/04/were-engaged.html
Tuesday, April 10, 2012. The word is out.Chris and I are engaged! By The Band Perry, and I'm stumped. I make a few lame guesses, but none of them are satisfactory. (Side note - the first time I played this song for Chris, I ooooo-ed and awwwww-ed over how cute it was, while he rolled his eyes). Actually, I said "yes of course." Then, a moment later I'm pretty sure I said, "wait, this is for reals, right? And there you go, that's the story. Well done, Christopher :). Tuesday, April 10, 2012.

Monday, July 16, 2012. Rachel came to Houston, so what did we do? Drive to San Antonio! We had good reason though, Megan and Milo were there! Oh the way to San Antonio, you HAVE to stop at Buc-ee's. And you HAVE to get Beaver Nuggets. YUM! And diet dr. pepper). Megan and Rachel are just so curious. Megan got a call, and this is what I heard: "Hi Dad.yes, we're going there later today.Ok, do we need to meet you somewhere? Oh, they're by the electrical box? Ok, we'll find some tape. Thanks Dad, bye! And I s...

Friday, January 28, 2011. Marie, my clinic roomie, and I were both super excited to wake up because we thought we could check out of this hotel.or clinic. But sadly, they said we would have to stay at least until lunch. We also thought they said we had to finish the bottle of fluids that was draining into our arms, so the race began! They brought us lunch around 12:30 pm, and Marie and I were so excited we couldn't sit still. And then they told us that we could leave after DINNER. Ugh. Not go...Tommy got...

Thursday, January 5, 2012. Here are some pictures from Christmas in Indiana. We got to meet Ashlyn! And hang out with the coolest kids 'round these parts. There's me, BIL, Rach, and the G-parents. And my mother being goofy. And the other coolest kids! That's Dr. Cindy to you. And we played chess. Well, BIL played chess and I tried. Thanks for a great time in Indiana! Thursday, July 5, 2012. One of those things is of course Pinterest. You can't possibly keep up with Pinterest and plan a wedding while camp is going on, so now it's time to PLAN. Rach comes today, mom comes on Sunday, and we'll see Megan twice in there too! Let the real planning begin. I started the morning on Pinterest, after making a 4th of July cake on the 5th of July and going for a short but sweaty run. See what I mean about the motivation? Http:/ www.kuperblog.com/index.cfm? thoughts.: My garden
http://sarascamplife.blogspot.com/2012/04/my-garden.html
Monday, April 2, 2012. Many of you know I like to grow things, so I thought I would make a blog post all about my gardening. It's so easy in Texas! This is a tree I planed back in November of 2010. It's growing strong! No garden posts here, but I just had to make someone angry. Now that she's rolling her eyes and probably saying some choice words to her computer screen, I will continue. Tonight it felt like I was doing a science fair project all over again.ah, home sweet home :). And here are the eggs!

Monday, November 8, 2010. I recently went to New Jersey to hang out with awesome Lutheran camp people. I was at their "school" and I got to be a "teacher." We're not technically allowed to call it a school, but that's basically what it is. It's technically called a "Leadership Training Event." Silly 501(c)3 laws. We stayed in a convent with a bunch of very nice nuns. Quite the experience! Monday, November 08, 2010. Tuesday, November 2, 2010. Here you go Mom, a new post, just for you! A Dose of Dumzala.

Sources for the Analysis and Interpretation of Folk and Fairy Tales. The art of the fairy tale has been around for centuries. Their continuing popularity indicates that there is more to them than sheer entertainment value, that they contain a deeper meaning which touches us on some profound level, and helps us in some way to understand or cope with the world.
