Saturday, March 7, 2015. We Got A Date! Yes folks, you heard that right. We FINALLY got a travel date for trip #1. I am beyond excited but certainly nervous as well. I will be leaving the US a week from today and will arrive in Chance and Callie's country in the wee f Monday morning, March 16th (their time). I'm glad we got about a week and a half notice to prepare things, but I really don't feel prepared at all! For them I will make this trek across the world. What is this trip for? We Got A Date!

On Friday our agency sent us an email saying we can expect to receive our Article 16 (basically all the info the government has on the children) in about 2 weeks. Thursday, July 23, 2015. Big things are happening! Where has the time gone? The last couple of months have been so hectic that they have flown by! I'm IN COUNTRY NOW! I told you it's been crazy! We flew out of the US on Saturday, July 18th and after about 35 hours landed in our children's country. Jason and my 7th wedding anniversary was on July 19th, we spent it mostly on a plane AND it was only 16 hours long since we changed time zones. Pretty cool huh? Making Memories Along the Way. February Continues in North Ft. Myers, FL. March 12, 2018. We wanted to share some more experiences we had while we were staying in North Fort Myers. We visited the power plant park in Lee County to view more manatees. This is a place where manatees congregate when the ocean is cold. We had been told that if you get there at the right time, the manatees are almost back to back in the canal. The driver and the Dalmatian dog Barley showed up when the horses were all hitched.

Tuesday, December 22, 2009. Please don't put me down. I suppose that we are making up for lost time and perhaps even needing to repair damage caused by being in the orphanage for that time. Whatever the reasons are, it is clearly a need that must be fulfilled whatever that cost is, and I know from prior experience that their confidence grows in knowing that you are forever.
