Follow the Ho Chi Minh tanner...: The Law of Collisional Avoidance

http://followthehcmtanner.blogspot.com/2008/09/law-of-collisional-avoidance.html

Follow the Ho Chi Minh tanner. Tuesday, September 16, 2008. The Law of Collisional Avoidance. Sitting in the comfort and relative safety of a taxi (top traveller’s tip: front seat = short straw) you will witness riders come at you from spaces that don’t exist and in directions that just simply aren’t possible. Busy one-way dual carriageways are no barrier for someone on a motorbike wanting to go in the other direction. The rules of the road are:. Do not look anywhere but straight ahead. Stepping out slow...

Follow the Ho Chi Minh tanner...: The pram and the motorbike

http://followthehcmtanner.blogspot.com/2008/07/pram-and-motorbike.html

Follow the Ho Chi Minh tanner. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. The pram and the motorbike. We have brought a lot of things with us from the UK that seem to amaze and fascinate the locals here: blond haired children; jumpers; duvets; a barbour. We have a Phil and Ted’s pram which, for those of you who don’t know (or care) what that means, you let’s just call it an off-road pram that seats two kids - one in front of the other - and normally gets a few curious glances even on the streets of London. This in itself w...

Follow the Ho Chi Minh tanner. Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Let me start with what I don’t like here. It’s a short list. In my book, anything that taste like natural gas (or at least how I imagine natural gas tastes) and causes noxious belching for hours after consumption deserves consigning to the worm bin immediately. On second thoughts, that. Would be too cruel to the worms. Throw it on straight on the compost. At the end of the garden. Away from the bonfire. I am sure the presentation of the food has ...

http://followthehcmtanner.blogspot.com/2008/08/tongue-tied-linguist.html

Follow the Ho Chi Minh tanner. Wednesday, August 13, 2008. I have always thought of myself as a bit of a linguist. A lot of others don’t but, in my own defence, over the years I have just about mastered Spanish and English. I have leather-Italian, and some French and Portuguese. I can also say hello in a lot of different tongues. If you don’t, or can’t, get the tones, then forget any chance of getting to grips with the language. Here’s an example. 8220;Been Djyeuung”. I even only half pronounce...The tax...

If you want to install the Guest Additions in VirtualBox on a Linux VM, they don’t always install automatically, I have no idea why. But to do it manually, from the Devices. Menu you need to select the option Insert Guest Additions CD Image. Once inserted, open a Terminal window and navigate to the root of the inserted CD. Posted by Dean Heard.

followtheheartlines | Just keep following the heartlines on your hand, Cause I am

Just keep following the heartlines on your hand, Cause I am. July 25, 2012 / followtheheartlines. This past weekend left me exhausted by Saturday night. Inspiration hit me that I wanted to read Eat, Love, Pray instead of going out with friends and faking a smile. BUT my copy of the book is stored in storage unit M37 in some little town outside of Boston, probably underneath my sewing machine and pictures of memories. I was married to a guy, well we lived together. I fell in love with someone again. But t...
