My Two Cents: 12 Treats of Christmas: #12 Santa's Cut-Out Cookies
http://tanyasmemorykeeper.blogspot.com/2010/12/12-treats-of-christmas-12-santas-cut.html
Thursday, December 23, 2010. 12 Treats of Christmas: #12 Santa's Cut-Out Cookies. Since I already blogged the recipe here. I will share the recipe I use for the frosting. I learned to make it simply by watching my mom. The "recipe" consists of only three ingredients: powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.although, I swear my mom used to add in some butter, too. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I'm sure she'll comment here to tell me her thoughts on that. FROSTING FOR SUGAR COOKIES. 2 cups powdered sugar.

Sunday, October 31, 2010. Soup-er Sunday: Cream of Chicken and Potato Soup. This is a "here's-what-I-had, so-here's-what-I-did" recipe. Interestingly enough, after my post about Classic Chicken Noodle Soup. He kept saying. Not too long after we pulled into the driveway, my sweetie was sporting a nice fever. He hunkered down on the couch, snuggy in hand (and mouth) and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on the tube. How can you deny a little guy some TV when he's feeling down? Chicken and Potato soup! After the rotis...

My Two Cents: September 2010
http://tanyasmemorykeeper.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 27, 2010. A bit of a twist on regular ol' pizza, these calzones are pretty simple to make. Just like pizza, you could fill them with anything that strikes your fancy. I didn't have any spinach on hand when I first made these, and it wasn't a problem at all. As long as you have the cheese filling, everything else is secondary! I personally think that 5 cups, even loosely packed, would be pretty spinach-y! 1 pound refrigerated pizza dough. 1 cup fresh ricotta. 2 tablespoons olive oil.

My Two Cents: Italian Vinaigrette
http://tanyasmemorykeeper.blogspot.com/2011/06/italian-vinaigrette.html
Monday, June 6, 2011. I bought some baby lettuce at the farmers market this weekend. What better occasion to make a homemade vinaigrette? At Christmas time, Santa placed a new vinaigrette holder from Williams-Sonoma. Had I remembered the "highly recommended" winner-of-the-taste-test brand: Columela. I would have looked to see if they carry it. 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil. 1/8 cup red wine vinegar. 1 clove garlic, minced. 1/2 to 1 teaspoon sugar. 1 teaspoon dry italian herb blend (I used Penzey's.

Wednesday, November 30, 2011. These meatballs are really good for spaghetti and meatballs, meatball sandwiches, Swedish meatballs. or just eating plain. When I am making them, with plans to freeze some, I have to be careful about who might be sneaking around when they come out of the oven- they disappear almost as quickly as I make them. This recipe comes from "The Stocked Kitchen" cookbook. 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 c bread crumbs (I use Panko - Japanese-style breadcrumbs). 2 eggs, lightly beaten. You could...

My Two Cents: BUTTERNUT SQUASH BISQUE
http://tanyasmemorykeeper.blogspot.com/2011/09/first-day-of-fall-arrived-officially.html
Sunday, September 25, 2011. The first day of fall arrived officially this past week. You know what that means—it’s the start of Soup-er Sundays at the Ramm household. One of my favorite restaurants, Reds on the River. Served a Roasted Butternut Squash Bisque recently. Oh my. It was like eating autumn-flavored silk. It wasn’t too sweet, or too overpowered by nutmeg. It was juuuuuuuust right. I am SOUP-ER pleased with the results of this, the very first soup of SOUP-ER Sundays 2011. 1 onion, sliced thin.

My Two Cents: RASPBERRY CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES
http://tanyasmemorykeeper.blogspot.com/2011/06/raspberry-cream-cheese-brownies.html
Friday, June 10, 2011. RASPBERRY CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES. There is something really satisfying about making baked goods from scratch—especially those that come from prepackaged mixes at the grocery store, like brownies. It reminds me of the scene in the movie “Castaway” where Tom Hanks’ character finally succeeds in building himself a fire, and he shouts out majestically, “LOOK WHAT I HAVE CREATED! RASPBERRY CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES. Makes 25 (small) brownies. 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened. 189; cu...

My Two Cents: Cookbooks
http://tanyasmemorykeeper.blogspot.com/2008/12/cookbooks.html
Sunday, December 14, 2008. My mother, who pretends that she isn't a good cook but really is an AMAZING cook, gave me the "Friends" cookbook one Christmas. I love it because it has a personal message from her about me being not only her daughter, but her friend. Get it? Not to mention the fact that I watched "Friends" religiously when it was still on and many of the recipes were mentioned in episodes. The latest addition to my cookbook collection is a VINTAGE cookbook! 2 cups sifted flour. 3 Add flour mix...
