Fun things to eat. Thursday, April 14, 2011. Fried Green Tomatoes - South Beach Style. I have seen friends making these in pictures on facebook recently and wanted to join in on the fun. Besides - who doesn't love the movie - "TOWANDAAAAAA" hehe. Finely ground black pepper. Slice tomatoes into 1/2" slices. Mix flour, pepper, and pecans into shallow bowl. Coat each side of tomato. April 18, 2011 at 8:17 AM. That sounds delicious. Everytime I tried making FGT, I failed miserably! Mexican Mac N Cheese.

Fun things to eat. Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Bell peppers (red, yellow, green). Heat pan with evoo. Cut tofu into strips. Sprinkly a couple spoonfuls of berbere (if you have a girly tongue maybe 1 or 1/2 spoon). Cut peppers and onions into strips. Cut tomato and rip out center. Throw garlic and onions into pan and heat until onion is translucent. Throw in tofu and give it some time to cook with onions and garlic. Throw peppers in the pan and let them brown slightly. Tomatoes in after a few minutes.

So my sister and I have been obsessing over this chopped greek salad at our local greek eatery (Hungry Greek) and after repeating visits there much this month I decided to try and replicate it. We absolutely loved our version - though next time I would see if I can buy their dressing or try to make my own. Also would add the beets next time that we forgot this time. Chopped gyro meat (optional). Sprinkle feta on the top.
