Sixty pints and counting →. July 19, 2012. This past weekend, I hiked 14er #9 and #10 with 6 other fabulous women! Our ages ranged from 25 to 64, and we just had the greatest time. You’ll have to check out my pics on Facebook. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Combine in large mixing bowl:. 2 cups whole wheat flour. 6 cups rolled oats. 1 cup coconut (I’m not a coconut fan, so I substitute sunflower seeds). 1 cup wheat germ. 1 cup honey or light corn syrup (I use honey). And bake 1 hour or until dry and golden.

Tomatoes have been doing great in this Kansas heat, and so for the past three weeks, the aroma of cilantro has been filling the house while the salsa is simmering…what a great smell! I’ve has this recipe for several years; our friends, Alan and Robin shared this with us after we received a pint for a gift. It’s so awesomely sweet and hot…just the right combination. Tomatoes (peeled and blended)-enough to fill a soup kettle. 1 cup chopped onions. 1 tsp red pepper.

He’s one of the “hippest” dads I know… avid golfer, gardener, chauffeur, great cook… AMAZING! Every birthday in my family, as long as I can remember, is celebrated with a favorite cake and homemade ice cream. Did I also tell you that my dad makes the BEST homemade ice cream in the WORLD? 2 1/4 cups sugar. 1 1/2 t. salt.

The best barbeque I have ever eaten was in Acworth Georgia. Nice rustic Barbeque place called Were Smokin Somthin it is owned by the guys of 3MR BBQ. Tender very well smoked nice flavor and all type sauces from mild, sweet, tangy and even Habenero hot bbq sauce. Great people great food great place.
