The Whole E!: July 2012
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
A Blog. About my life. Thursday, July 19, 2012. I've decided I want to own a meat thermometer. I had a 30% off coupon to Kohls, so I went there tonight to buy one. I didn't buy one. Instead I bought this little beauty:. Not exactly a meat thermometer, but I still got to use my coupon. (And the coupon is still valid for another couple days, so I could potentially still use it. But I might shop around first.). I'm open to other suggestions of things I can make. Saturday, July 14, 2012. My New Food Blog.

The Whole E!: August 2012
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
A Blog. About my life. Thursday, August 30, 2012. Adventures in Eastern Europe, Part 1: Warsaw. Two years ago I traveled to Budapest and had a wonderful time. On that trip, I decided that Eastern Europe* is where it's at as far as interesting and (relatively) inexpensive international travels are concerned. A few weeks ago, I had the chance to travel to Eastern Europe again, and it was great! It was a comfortable, smooth ride. And for the 20 minute ride, it only cost $1! The flight that I took left DC at...

The Whole E!: I saw a bear!!
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2012/09/i-saw-bear.html
A Blog. About my life. Saturday, September 1, 2012. I saw a bear! I've been a semi-regular hiker at Shenandoah since I moved here a year ago. (Though not nearly as frequently as I want.) I actually haven't seen that much wildlife in my hikes, although a few months ago I saw a deer. In the last few months, I've been really, really, really wanting to see a bear! Shenandoah has black bears. Supposedly. Today was my lucky day! It was well off the trail, but we got to watch it for a few minutes. It was on the...

The Whole E!: March 2013
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
A Blog. About my life. Monday, March 18, 2013. Job Interview in New York. You won't believe this, but I'm blogging and it's not because I saw a bear. I think I'd be happy there (aside from the weather.brr! We'll see what happens. I should know in a couple more weeks. Though it was so cold! I have been to Niagara once before, when I was driving from Albany to Austin. But we saw it from the Canada side, which is much better. But I didn't bring my passport on this trip (why would I have? I drove back to Gen...

The Whole E!: Another Bear (and waterfalls)
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2012/11/another-bear-and-waterfalls.html
A Blog. About my life. Sunday, November 25, 2012. Another Bear (and waterfalls). Remember how I saw a bear a few months ago. Although the bear was considerably smaller than last time.). This means I've seen three bears this fall! Also, the hike I went on on Friday was part of my new Thanksgiving tradition (year 2 or it! But it was a good hike (Whiteoak Canyon/Cedar Run loop) and I saw something like 8 waterfalls. Here are a couple pictures I took of some of them. November 25, 2012 at 8:15 PM.

The Whole E!: Duck curry (not) in a duck!
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2013/09/duck-curry-not-in-duck.html
A Blog. About my life. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Duck curry (not) in a duck! I hope there are people out there on the internet who still read my blog. I haven't been very good at updating it. And some big things have happened since my last post. (BTW, in case the internet is wondering, I didn't get the job I interviewed for that I talked about in the last post. Oh well.) One of these days I'll blog about some of that other stuff. Now for something completely different. September 22, 2013 at 9:41 PM.

The Whole E!: January 2012
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
A Blog. About my life. Tuesday, January 24, 2012. While I was home for Christmas my family and I went to lunch at one of our favorite places, The Dairy Keen, a fast food (but better than regular fast food) place up in Heber City, Utah, owned by my aunt and uncle. They had a chicken enchilada soup that was really tasty. We didn't get the recipe from my cousin (though maybe we will still try? So I set out to find one to try. (I love the internet.). 1 1/4 cups chicken broth. 1 cup green enchilada sauce.

The Whole E!: April 2012
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
A Blog. About my life. Saturday, April 7, 2012. I'm so lucky in that I live only 30 minutes from one of the entrances of Shenandoah National Park. One of my favorite things to do outside is hiking. This summer I have a goal to spend as much time as I can hiking in Shenandoah. And since I work at the temple every other Saturday, that means I only have every other Saturday right now. From a distance, of course.). And it's fun to see the trees starting to get their leaves again. I can't wait for summer!

The Whole E!: September 2012
http://thewholeebang.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
A Blog. About my life. Monday, September 3, 2012. Adventures in Eastern Europe Part 2: Krakow. I arrived in Krakow Saturday night. Because my hotel was about a 60 minute walk from the train station, and I was now on the University's dime, I splurged and took a taxi to my hotel. It cost me a whopping $15. The conference started on Monday and went through Friday. It was nice to catch up with friends and colleagues and hear about what people in our research community are working on. I gave a talk We...There...
