Food Exploits: Asa Ramen (Gardena, CA)
http://foodexploits.blogspot.com/2010/02/asa-ramen-gardena-ca.html
Monday, 22 February 2010. Asa Ramen (Gardena, CA). Several weeks ago, I went for yum cha with my cousins, aunt, and uncle. Uncle Gary mentioned that he's really into ramen right now, which launched us into plans for possible ramen adventures. Being a ramen-lover myself, I suggested that we meet up in LA (where I work, Uncle Gary lives, and Tiffanie goes to school) and search for delicious ramen. For high-scoring restaurant reviews in the Los Angeles area and stumbled upon Asa Ramen. Tiffanie added an egg...

Tuesday, 6 April 2010. Green onion pancakes) with Garrett. I have better pictures, but I'm too lazy to upload them here. Garrett says it didn't taste quite right; it could be because didn't actually use green onion, or because we didn't use lard or tons of oil, or because we used the wrong kind of flour. We'll try it again. 3 Late-night pho with ROCK. 4 Mitsuwa festival booths with ROCK. We're not sure what was going on (Spring Picnic Fair, perhaps? With Aryn and Sam. Yes, I used my stack of sticky notes...

Food Exploits: December 2008
http://foodexploits.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 16 December 2008. Four Seasons (London Chinatown). 3 meat combination dish. I thought this dish was really nice. It wasn't available at the last Chinese restaurant we ate at, so it was a real treat to be able to order it here. I don't like eating any kind of. If it feels wilted or if it's too bland. Jon mentioned that some places make it too salty, but the. Was just the right amount of crunchy and garlic. The second dish was the 3 combination meat dish- duck, pork belly*, and. Note: I'm not sure...

Lynnette Woo: DBC: Shall We Dance?
http://lynnettewoo.blogspot.com/2009/10/dbc-shall-we-dance.html
DBC: Shall We Dance? Thursday, October 8, 2009. My friend Aubrie linked this video on FB and I was curious enough to watch. President Dr. Barry Corey (also known affectionately as DBC), discusses the no-dance policy and community standards/contract issue during a Biola chapel. I think he displays a lot of wisdom as well as a healthy sense of humor. Shawdy fire burning on the dance floor. 171; Older Post. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). NEW HOME FOR JOLIEJOLIE. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Funny moment of the day: My mom just asked me if I liked "koala pie" (she meant Kahlua). A) find a new blogspot layout and try to customize it myself. B) switch to WordPress. D) stick to what I've got. What do you guys think should I do? Food Adventures: Penang Malaysian Cuisine. Thursday, October 15, 2009. The restaurant is tucked into the corner of the very randomly-located Hong Kong plaza (South Glendora and Vine). Since it was already almost three in the afternoon, the ...
Lynnette Woo: Comma
http://lynnettewoo.blogspot.com/2009/09/comma.html
Thursday, September 24, 2009. I hate the overuse of commas, as well as the incorrect use of commas. People use them as an excuse to be long-winded. Or as a way to skirt the real issue- to be vague or indefinite. Sometimes, you just have to say what you mean. Taught me a lot about editing and refining my writing. I think what fascinates me the most about grammar is that it's such a powerful tool, and yet it's so widely neglected. We may appreciate it in its various forms: we enjoy reading good books, ...

Lynnette Woo: I should be asleep...
http://lynnettewoo.blogspot.com/2009/09/i-should-be-asleep.html
I should be asleep. Saturday, September 12, 2009. This evening at ROCK, we talked about the sufficiency of God's grace, particularly in suffering- times of the "thorn in the flesh" (I'm not going through anything as difficult or painful as that, but I am. Learning what it means to really depend on the Lord for each day). So Tony asked the question, "Are you aware of God's grace during times of difficulty? But I think it's appropriate to ask, "Are you aware of God's grace each and every day?

Lynnette Woo: December 2009
http://lynnettewoo.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 19, 2009. So today, I cooked garlic mashed potatoes, and even peeled the potatoes (the first one took a little while, but I got the hang of it). And I baked a custard pie. Oddly, I feel more accomplished today than I felt when I graduated from college. I really need to learn how to cook. This weekend has been crazy. I'm beginning to get worn down. Wednesday - worked in LA, cleaned the house, home prayer meeting. Friday - worked, shopping with Garrett, ROCK Christmas party. NEW HOME FOR...
Lynnette Woo: November 2008
http://lynnettewoo.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 17, 2008. Hanging out with the university students- aka 360- at CCiL, attending Central DCG (CCiL's equivalent of FCBCFV's KALEO), boiling potstickers and cooking failed crepes for my flatmates, shopping/eating/studying in Hammersmith and Central London, getting dropped off in the middle of nowhere by the 72 (it's like Russian roulette, but with buses), conferences with lecturers, seeing. 007 Quantam of Solace. That's basically what I've been up to. 171; Older Posts.

Just another WordPress.com site. Gnudi with brown butter, dried apricots, and sage. January 22, 2013. I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve written something! But I got pregnant and had a baby! When I was pregnant, I was quite sick, so I couldn’t really cook much. I survived on mostly ice cream. And over the past 16 weeks, I’ve been so busy with the baby, I haven’t had much time to cook anything good or write. But I’ve started trying new things again. 12 dried apricots, julienned. Melt the butter...
