Because life is too short for the same-ol' same-ol'! As mentioned before, I’ve been packing. A lot. I’ll be leaving on Friday 10/21 for Japan for a 3-week-long business trip. Yup: three weeks in a country that I’ve never visited (and have always wanted to)! Sure, I’ll be doing work for at least 8 hours every weekday, but that won’t stop me from seeing the sights, experiencing the culture, and especially eating the food! I found a list of 100 foods to try in Japan. And I intend to try as many as possible!

Because life is too short for the same-ol' same-ol'! Beyond Ramen and Udon: Why Soba is King. In Apps Sides Snacks. I’m a proud, proud carb-a-holic. I have no problem having a piece (or two…) of garlic bread alongside macaroni and cheese. I am guilty of eating ice cream for dinner. I’ll eat oatmeal with a super-sweet soy pumpkin spice latte without being fazed. Have no fear! Soba is a Japanese noodle that is unlike any other. It’s thin and elegant, but sturdy enough that it won’t flop aro...Soba is fabul...

Plant-Based Diet for Fitness Vegan Recipes and Nutrition Vegan Fitness and Running. From Couch Potato to Ironman — In 20 Months. Written by Susan Lacke. Susan Lacke at the finish of Ironman Wisconsin, just 20 months after deciding to run her first 5K. In 2009, I made a New Year’s Resolution to run my first 5K. I assumed I’d run the 5K, cross the accomplishment off my bucket list, and go back to being a couch potato. But that didn’t happen. Anyone can do an Ironman. When I made that resolution to run my f...

An aviator's culinary adventures. September 1, 2011. 8212; flyingbubble @ 9:28 pm. For some reason mine don’t look nearly as pretty as her cookie picture. I imagine that has something to do with the fact that I’m a amateur baker with a point and shoot camera. Maybe someday I’ll have a professional kitchen, photography team and cookbooks of my own. Dine with the original Food Flirt – Jacqueline. St Patrick and Me. March 17, 2018. The sound of organ music greeted us as my sister Patty and I entered Saint Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. We shook out our wet umbrellas and placed them in the corner, reverently, for this was said to be the earliest Christian site in Ireland.
