We have been there twice, and the restaurant is one of three so named in the lovely state of Iowa. If you like pizza, this is the place. Humongous pies, deep dish for real, they are close to Chicagoland! Kind of. Thin pies, too. Name your poison, they will put it on. Unless they don't have it. At least not in Iowa. So.

Thursday, April 20, 2017. So Long, Wong's Place; Hello, Smile Lao Thai. While I still haven't found a new favorite Chinese restaurant, I did discover Smile Lao Thai at Broadway and Rural Road. Like the name suggests, they serve Laotian and Thai food. I've been there a couple times and it's delicious! The nam (pictured above) is super yummy. Friday, August 5, 2011. Quick Bites: Vietnamese (Vegetarian) Garden Rolls w/ Peanut Sauce options. The first step is securing yourself some wrappers. These are basically rice wrappers which are dry and come in a plastic package like this one below (I use these). You can find these at most any Asian market like H-Mart. Iceberg Lettuce, julienned. Spring Onions (green parts, whole length of wrapper). Cucumber, thin and cut to length of wrapper (Seedless cucumbers work best). 1 part chunky peanut butter.
