New Aquisitions. Leaving pressie. May 23, 2015. Having worked at my current school for nearly 8 years and you always hope that if you get a leaving present that they know you well. This couldn’t be any better. Something I’ve wanted for loooong time… A chefs knife. Thank you so much guys… I will think of you every time I cook… So that will be very very often🙂. Although I am not planning to write too much about the distant past, I thought it would be useful to track my journey as a vegetarian in the world outside. I am not a food critic. Finally, I hope that anything I write finds its way to the various establishments as a way of a “thank you for the experience” and for you, perhaps a different perspective on places to visit. Pimped baked beans on toast with homemade pimiento cheese… | foodmemoirz's Blog
https://foodmemoirz.wordpress.com/2015/04/05/pimped-baked-beans-and-homemade-pimento-cheese
Pimped baked beans on toast with homemade pimiento cheese…. April 5, 2015. I normally feel sick watching Man v Food. Or anything made by Adam Richman. But I’m completely fascinated by it. A spin off Man Finds Food. Gave me the idea for building on my favourite pimped baked bean on toast breakfast. By topping it off with my version of pimiento cheese. A recipe may follow in due course🙂. 2 thoughts on “ Pimped baked beans on toast with homemade pimiento cheese…. April 5, 2015 at 12:12 pm. October 2, 2016.
Pizza Naan… | foodmemoirz's Blog

May 8, 2015. Just a quick post to share this scrummy easy idea… Pizza Naan! When you think about it, it’s a no-brainer. Buy some naan (or as we did, used up some left over ones from a dinner party). Chuck anything that sounds appetising on it… We used left overs… Smother in cheese and pop it into a hot oven or simply grill it. 2 thoughts on “ Pizza Naan…. May 8, 2015 at 4:10 pm. Adding a little zest to everyday things. Coconut Curry Chicken with Basil Rice. For an English/Journalism major, I have a staggering number of classics I still need to read. Right now, I’m fully engrossed in One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It is a wonderfully compelling book with such rich, beautiful language it almost inspires me to try and write my own Spanish novel. Almost. 2 cups dry Jasmine rice. 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped. 1 tbsp minced garlic. Add the spina...

Adding a little zest to everyday things. Zesty Honey-Lime Cauliflower Rice. Admittedly, I’m still on a not-so-silent crusade to get a cat. A large part of my job is to poke around the Internet for cat and dog videos, memes and stories, and occasionally I come across the right cat video to make me swoon. Then I promptly text Mike to once again ask if we can get a cat, at which time he promptly says absolutely not. 1 medium head cauliflower, florets and stems chopped off. 1 tbsp olive oil. 2 tbsp lime juice.

Adding a little zest to everyday things. Honey Lemon Quinoa and Brussels Sprouts. I’m on a not-so-silent crusade to get a cat. We have a dog – Madison, who is wonderful and fun. Also, she is super cute. BUT. I really want to get a cat. I used to have mixed feelings about cats, but part of my day job entails looking at cat photos online for hours at a time, so it’s kind of hard to resist falling in love with those funny little fluff balls. 1 lb Brussels Sprouts, stems cut off and sliced into quarters.

Adding a little zest to everyday things. My kitchen hasn’t been calling to me lately. It’s a weird feeling, and it’s a constant struggle to open the fridge and realize I’m going to be piecing together a lunch of crackers, cheese and tomato slices. Finally, I jumped on this cauliflower pizza crust bandwagon to end the home-cooked meal drought. One head cauliflower, florets chopped off. 1 egg, beaten. 4 oz goat cheese. 1 tsp dried oregano. 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper. 1/2 tsp. garlic salt. 1 tsp dried basil.

Adding a little zest to everyday things. Squash Stuffed with Sausage and Wine-Soaked Onions. Mike and I installed a doggie door this summer for Madison. I think she has finally achieved her ultimate goal in life – to come and go as she pleases. All I’m saying is that it was a little TOO easy to train her to use this door. She’ll always come back in for food, though. One large summer squash (about 10′ long and fairly thick). 1 cup diced onions. 1 cup chopped green pepper. 1 pint cherry tomatoes. In a sepa...

Saturday, 2 June 2007. Blueberries and Beaches in Mexico. It also meant noone else came near me until I had jumped in the sea and washed it off but I think it was worth it!
