The search for truth and real food. Friday, October 21, 2011. I was also floored by how bad some of my choices really are for myself and my family. That whole grains weren't so wholesome, and some fats are actually good. That so much of what's supposed to be "healthy" breaks down into glucose and keeps us on a never-ending hamster wheel of blood sugar highs and lows that eventually leads to diabetes. Was I stupid or just asleep? How did I become so disconnected from what I feed myself and my family?
