Foolscap & Quills: February 2008
http://foolscapandquills.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
In the big city. Wednesday, February 27, 2008. I also felt like a proper grownup cyclist in my flourescent yellow jacket! Goodness knows what it'll feel like when I actually get a helmet. Sunday, February 24, 2008. Yesterday as I was making paper with some children I managed to put my right foot in a bucket of water. I was absorbed in the intricate details of explaining how to squidge water out of the paper pulp when I noticed a funny sensation in my foot and looked down to see my foot (and shoe! And hav...
Foolscap & Quills: The joys of living by a river
http://foolscapandquills.blogspot.com/2008/06/joys-of-living-by-river.html
In the big city. Sunday, June 08, 2008. The joys of living by a river. I like this picture! It's taken by a friend and is quite magical. Next to the cars - under the water between the wooden posts and the scrub poking up from the water - is a footpath and the cars are in the Ham House carpark. It also has a slight feel of a car tv advert where the cars are poised before surfing in the waves or other such foolish things. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Places I drop by. Foolscap & Quills: Roller coasters are definately not my thing
http://foolscapandquills.blogspot.com/2008/05/roller-coasters-are-definately-not-my.html
In the big city. Saturday, May 17, 2008. Roller coasters are definately not my thing. HM1 organised a youth trip to Thorpe Park today and we had a minibus full of people. I was roped into going along to the theme park as a "responsible adult" (he hee), which I don't object to per se. It's all them roller coasters that I'm not so keen on! Youth worker or no, I still don't like roller coasters. Tea cups are my limit too, Maria! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Places I drop by. The Otesha Project UK.
Foolscap & Quills: January 2008
http://foolscapandquills.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
In the big city. Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Last night HM1 and 2, and myself went to an Australia Day barbeque. The only thing is: it wasn't Australia Day (that was on the 26th). It wasn't a bbq - more like grilling food in the kitchen. And our hosts had no real connection to Australia. Brilliant excuse for a party! Hats off to that! My very social weekend also included sitting outside (! Thursday, January 24, 2008. Pulling into the bus station near my flat at the end of our trip I was unable to open the...

In the big city. Monday, December 31, 2007. You need to see this. Here's something to delight, amuse and brighten up long winter days. Go over to Cheat Neutral. A site dedicated to helping you because you can't help yourself. I recommend watching the film. It's only 13 minutes long and well worth it. Sunday, December 30, 2007. I'm hopelessly behind the times here and only just listened to the episode of StarShipSofa. There, as now, it's still the humans who drive things forward in a good or bad manner ac...

Extremely Linden: October 2006
http://extremelylinden.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 25, 2006. A little local difficulty. Thanks to the IT expertise of the Linden Administrator, on Friday the hard drive of the office computer was wiped completely clean. The benefits of this move should be obvious: a load of rubbish was deleted and the computer runs a whole lot faster. On the down side, a number of slightly important but not irreplaceble files and documents were also lost. Included in the 'useful but gone' category are email addresses. Posted by Linden @ 1:30 PM. Extremely Linden: September 2006

Monday, September 18, 2006. Those of you who know Rich Pyke will know that he is not one to seek attention! But he would be grateful if you could pray for him right now. Rich has had an eye problem - a side effect of his diabetes - and he is having laser treatment for it. The weekly treatment, in which laser rays are shot into the back of the eye to seal tiny veins, is very painful and takes about 40 minutes a treatment (or as long as Rich can stand the pain! Please pray for him and Deni. Is planned for ...

Monday, July 31, 2006. Seen in Debenhams' window. Life without passion is unforgivable. Posted by Linden @ 1:44 PM. Tuesday, July 25, 2006. Posted by Linden @ 11:00 AM. What should I do with a dream ticket? As you may know, when looking for sources of funding for work such as Red Cafe, one place we don't approach is the National Lottery. But I have a dilemma. If we've won 2 perhaps we wouldn't take it but would we turn down 500,000? Or is it the principle? Posted by Linden @ 4:15 AM. Friday, July 21, 2006.

Monday, January 29, 2007. The old - sorry, Dave - and the new. Dave, who was a volunteer at Linden but is now employed with us, was 21 last Friday. Friday, June 30, 2006. A message from Andy Dallas. Visit to Porthcawl and Aberavon. The Leadership Team plan to visit and pray at the above coastal locations in the evening of that day and would be encouraged if you can join them. We are continuing to respond to what we believe God is saying to us that is, we are to pray at various coastal sites to the east and west of Swansea (as well as the Bay itself) believing that it’s just a part of what God is doing in Wales today. In A Sentence .org. The best little site that helps you understand word usage with examples. Foolscap in a sentence. The next day I bought two sheets of foolscap from the schoolmaster, and after tea I betook myself to the granary, barred the door, and fell to writing my sermon. Just stumbled over the foolscap comment, some months after you wrote it. I had a notion that foolscap was paper that was of poor quality, normally not used for writing, but fibrous enough to be used for printing. I had a notion th...

Foolscap & Quills
In the big city. Wednesday, July 09, 2008. A trip to Iona. Oh, I'm bored and missing that lovely Scottish island in the middle of nowhere. On a trip to Staffa island we saw puffins! The programme we were on was called Dancing in Fire: exploring feminine images of God and people brought a lot to it and made it very interesting. It was so nice to meet interesting, opiniated people and do something completely out of the daily routine! I miss being there. Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Monday, June 16, 2008.
