Exploring the world from a thoughtful, Christian perspective. The Courage to Doubt. July 26, 2014. I have lived with a dog for all of my life. I’m not sure how long after that it was that my dad moved out, but he took Stormie with him, and we kept Carla. And here is where the lesson begins. Know that there are reasons behind the way things are. We know that factors affect other factors, and we can judge one by the other. The house, my dad’s dogs, and ultimately my dad as well suffer in that house. It isn...

Exploring the world from a thoughtful, Christian perspective. An Idea on the Problem of Evil →. February 17, 2014. I recently finished reading. I prayed I could be like Pi. How so? Pi, if you haven’t read the book, is a man of many religions. In the early parts of the book, he attends a Christian church, as Muslim Masque, and practices the Hindu rituals. And he finds solace in all of it. Even in the intangible. God in a conversation. God in an uprising. God in a promise. How clearly Pi saw it! So while o...

Exploring the world from a thoughtful, Christian perspective. New Objective →. October 11, 2013. My favorite place to pray is a field at the end of the street I grew up on. The field is a fenced in set of four baseball diamonds, one in each corner, and in the middle is a space big enough to fit a little league football field. At night the space is remarkably empty, and on good nights the stars are somewhat visible. But it wasn’t always good, for God did not always seem to be there. Why does God hide?

Exploring the world from a thoughtful, Christian perspective. Work: Craft, Necessity, and Manipulation →. An Idea on the Problem of Evil. March 5, 2014. So, first things first. I’m going to give an idea regarding the problem of evil, and when I do, please, please, please understand that I am not trying to. Anyway, I’ll start to break down the idea:. God is perfectly good. If God is 1, 2, and 3 are true, then God would prevent all evil. If 4, then there is no evil. Now there’s probably a more techni...

Exploring the world from a thoughtful, Christian perspective. The Wise Man →. February 17, 2014. I left the blogging scene for a while (life got in the way), but I will be returning here very shortly. To do so, I’m making the goal of this blog to record any thoughts, not necessarily one’s that are composed in an essay format. This is to help me be more genuine and to give readers a better glimpse at my thoughts. The Wise Man →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. The Courage to Doubt.

Exploring the world from a thoughtful, Christian perspective. An Idea on the Problem of Evil. The Courage to Doubt →. Work: Craft, Necessity, and Manipulation. April 23, 2014. I’ve learned about work in such a way. And what I’ve learned has frustrated me. It is because we as human beings are designed to be in community. Is it not for the sake of communicating with others? How much more so, then, are we, who can wield the greatest levels of language on earth, designed to live in community? Them to buy it.

Exploring the world from a thoughtful, Christian perspective. Work: Craft, Necessity, and Manipulation. Dogs: Spiritual Barometers →. The Courage to Doubt. May 19, 2014. I recently read a Cracked.com article, 5 Insane Lessons from My Christian Fundamentalist Childhood. But I dreaded reading it. Why? People have no humility. People have no humility when in an online debate. No one admits the possibility of being wrong, and everyone gives off an air of being the final authority on a given subject. And the ...
