http://kempffamilyof4.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 26, 2010. Before we ate the guys tried to put together Noah's early Christmas present- a new train set. However, sadly the company sent a couple of wrong pieces and we have to wait until we get them to put it up. Bummer! But Noah and Sidney will love it when it's finished. Thanks Granny! Now we're looking forward to a relaxing weekend, and the beginning of Advent on Sunday as we prepare for the birth of our Lord in four weeks! Can you believe it's only FOUR weeks! Monday, November 1, 2010.

Tuesday, February 22, 2011. This is what my kids had for dinner tonight:. Sidney looked at me like I was crazy, took one bite, then promptly threw it on the floor. Noah, however, was in heaven:. Can't be perfect all the time, right? This time it was, "but mom, I'm making you some coffee". Sunday, February 20, 2011.

Wednesday, April 4, 2012. 1 Proverbs 31. everyone knows it, it's one of the most talked-about passages involving a woman. It tells us how we live lives of noble character. what we should strive to be, and that charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. (v 30). Here's what the book, Created to Be His Helpmeet says:. As you can see from these passages (and there are others! God is VERY clear about modesty in the Bible. How can we apply that to our lives?

Sunday, March 18, 2012. 1 can garbanzo beans (aka chickpeas). 1 can white beans (or a second can of the above- I like the white beans because they make it creamier). 1 lemon (juice of). 4 minced garlic cloves. 3 Tbsp. tahini. 1/2 Tbsp. oil (I used grapeseed, for it's mild flavor, but olive or canola would do too). 1 1/4 tsp. salt. 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper. 1/2 tsp garam masala (you could probably leave this out, but I think it adds just a tiny bit more heat and flavor). Friday, April 8, 2011. Let Them Eat Cake. I have a confession to make:. We have a BANNED children's book in our house. okay, we have more than one banned children's book in our house. One of our favorites here in the Kempf house is this one:. In The Night Kitchen. Excuse me, what? He's a little boy. My little boy runs around naked all the time. Whatever. Monday, March 28, 2011. Can you throw some things in a pot and call it dinner? After a long day I didn't feel like reading a cookbook, so I pulled out some onions, garlic, ginger, daikon, bok choy, napa cabbage, a few spices, vegetable broth and quinoa. and out came this:. Throw in a salad of avocado, cucumber and tomato over some greens (and a few pumkin seeds). It's amazing what you can do with a knife and a cutting board. I love my doughnut pan. That's another favorite thing that was hiding for a while.
