Eastons in the Mid-West: Birthday at Legoland
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2015/04/birthday-at-legoland.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Friday, April 10, 2015. Spring break always happens right around Dallin's birthday. So this year we decided to take a short weekend trip to Chicago to take the boys to the Legoland Discovery Center. On the drive up there, Dallin got to open his first birthday present from his Easton grandparents: The Lego Movie. They were silently glued to the screen for the rest of trip. There was a replica of the Chicago skyline made from Legos. And a rainforest filled with lego animals. This i...

Eastons in the Mid-West: October 2014
http://mcsheaston.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Eastons in the Mid-West. Wednesday, October 22, 2014. There were farm animals that we got to pet in the barn. Actors are dressed up in period clothing and they teach you about life in Indiana in the 19th century as you explore the "town.". The kids sat listening to this blacksmith talk about his job for like 10 minutes. I was amazed at their attention span. The kids got to dress up and do chores. Connor in the apron/skirt is cracking me up. (It was his choice to wear it.). I love these 3 cuties. There ar...

The Eternal Adolescent: November 2009
http://eternaladolescent.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. A Season of Thanks. Things that I am currently grateful for:. Mark Skinner. Welcome back into our lives, friend. True, it is only until Tuesday, but hopefully I can sell him on the idea of moving back to Utah until he starts getting paid handsomely for his mathematical nerdhood next year. From my lips to God's ears. Sunday, November 22, 2009. My Plea to Max Hall. Would I take Hall over any of the other BYU greats? Sunday, November 15, 2009. The sound of one hand clapping. It...

The Eternal Adolescent: January 2010
http://eternaladolescent.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 31, 2010. Anybody with me to lose weight in February? How about a different health goal during that same time period? I'm in no matter what, but there is plenty of room on this bandwagon. Just let me know and I will follow up with you to see how it's going. This will be a magical month. Let the games begin. Thursday, January 28, 2010. Smile for the Camera. I've always considered myself a pioneer. Now, we are all witnesses. Sunday, January 10, 2010. 8221;- Cindy Ford. I can tell you this m...

The Eternal Adolescent: Wasting a shot at perfection
http://eternaladolescent.blogspot.com/2009/12/wasting-shot-at-perfection.html
Monday, December 28, 2009. Wasting a shot at perfection. Now, I understand the Colts didn't want their star players to get hurt, but if that's the case why did they play them at all? Shouldn't they have benched the starters last week when home field advantage was wrapped up? I don't understand their logic. Shame on them. I have adopted the Colts a step-team of sorts over the past decade since my team, the 49ers, hasn't been relevant. Despite this, I hope they lose in the playoffs. Sports karm...Provo, ut...

The Eternal Adolescent: June 2010
http://eternaladolescent.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Life is in the Details. I've never been the most attentive when it comes to details. So often they seem trivial and I'm more of an "All's well that ends well" kind of guy as it is. I'd like to think that as I've gotten older I've learned to focus more on those details in order to make sure that important things aren't missed and that I can be successful in my endeavors. From time to time I realize I've still got a ways to go. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Life is in the Details.

The Eternal Adolescent: December 2008
http://eternaladolescent.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 10, 2008. Trust me. It's definitely you. Again, not so in demand. I guess that rules out my talent for watching TV and movies. As we were discussing the events that were transpiring, it hit me like a bolt of lightning. This was familiar territory. It seemed as though everything in my life had led me up to this point. Finally, I had found a way to apply my talents and life experience! Call me. My pledge to you is this: not only will the person I am directing my services at get the ...

Rock Mitchell: My worst enemy dwells in my car
http://rockmitchell.blogspot.com/2009/08/my-worst-enemy-dwells-in-my-car.html
Observation, experience, opinion. Sunday, August 23, 2009. My worst enemy dwells in my car. My greatest enemy is not the state's safety and emissions test (but it is a close second, since it has conquered me and my car every year for the past three years). And my greatest fear is not fear itself; as much as Mandela suggests. My greatest enemy and my greatest fear is actually the spider. She yelled, pointing at the dash above my steering wheel. I've been driving on pins and needles ever since, not sure wh...
