So sorry for being away from the blog for a few days . . . there has been a lot going on around here lately! The biggest and most exciting news is that Sam and Maddie have a new baby cousin! Juliette Claire was born on Tuesday, July 10, at 11:49 pm She weighed 8 pounds, 3.5 ounces, and was 20 inches long. She is healthy and happy and we are thoroughly in love with her. On A special gift.

A couple of days ago, we went to Chicago for dinner with Chris’s aunts, Jane and Sue, so that we could celebrate their recent retirements. Jane and Sue have always been so supportive of us over the years, and we are very grateful to have them in our lives. Both of them are really excited about this adoption, and they’ll be helping us out at home after the boys arrive. Thanks so much, Jane and Sue. We love you! July 25, 2012.

We had the funds to apply and pay for the home study and had great hopes that the home study would begin by the end of the summer.
