Killeenduff Arts Symposium, 2013. A gathering of artists and writers was held in Killeenduff from 29 July to 16 August, 2013, to celebrate the life and work of the sculptor, Fred Conlon, on the occasion of what would have been his 70th Birthday. Conlon died at the height of his powers in 2005, leaving a considerable legacy of public sculpture throughout Ireland but also as far afield as India and Japan. Robin Hoods Bay , steeped in history of smugglers, fisherman and shipwrecks, with a beautiful beach, named one of the best in the world. Forge Cottage is a lovely one bedroom cottage in the heart of the old village, once home to the village blacksmith. Downstairs there is a lovely open plan living room/ kitchen with exposed beams and a wood burning stove for the cold winter nights, as well as central heating. There is a dining table for two, a flat screen TV and a selection of books and jigsaws.
