The New Castle County Workhouse stood along Kirkwood Highway at Route 41 for about 75 years. Forgotten Delaware is working on a more detailed site about the history of the workhouse and what remains today but until then please check out Forgotten Delaware's PowerPoint show about the workhouse by Forgotten Delaware writer/investigator Raymond Harrington.
