Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Rosie had her right stifle (hind knee) repaired and secured with tension wire. She will have to be confined to a crate for some weeks for recovery, but we are quite hopeful that she will be feeling much better soon! Immediately after the surgery she was really out of it from the anesthesia- completely disoriented and afraid and acting very nutty. Sweet 6-week old baby July was found as a stray and brought to the local kill shelter on the 4th of July. He waited for four days in isolation for someone to come and claim him but no one did. Trixie & her Sweeties!

Trixie and her Sweeties! Darling Trixie was found dodging traffic in Buchanan Dam and was saved by a shelter worker. Unfortunately, this poor girl was discovered to be pregnant, which was bad news at the shelter. Those caring folks called our rescue group and we couldn't resist her friendly, sweet personality.
