.FG MiniZ Forgotten & Glorious Company of Art: 1806 Prussian Hussar Reference Material
http://forgottenglorious.blogspot.com/2014/07/1806-prussian-hussar-reference-material.html
FG MiniZ Online Shop. Saturday, 26 July 2014. 1806 Prussian Hussar Reference Material. So Alan Marsh has sculpted the dollies, headgears, carbine and saber for the Prussian Hussars. He based his work on reference material I sent him and I can already say that as usual his work is awesome and I will post photos as soon as I get the greens. Sources are not so easy to find about this particular moment of prussia history: Osprey's books are a good start but it is not enough. Forgotten Glorious Company of Art.

Wargaming The Great War: Something for the weekend...
http://wargamingthegreatwar.blogspot.com/2010/11/something-for-weekend.html
Wargaming The Great War. Saturday, 13 November 2010. Something for the weekend. Here, from Club International, June 1975, is an unusual illustration of the equipment of a French infantryman of the 5eme regiment from 1914. Both figures wear the traditional madder and dark blue kepi and collar, complete with regimental number. Both also wear the blue cummerbund which was soon dropped from service although the 5th did wear it at the Battle of the Marne. Marmite pour quatre hommes. Labels: Early War French.

Wargaming The Great War: Bolt Action WW1 from Osprey
http://wargamingthegreatwar.blogspot.com/2014/09/bolt-action-ww1-from-osprey.html
Wargaming The Great War. Thursday, 4 September 2014. Bolt Action WW1 from Osprey. Disappointing coverage on the various documentary channels I feel. Why more re-runs of the World at War when there was a fascinating WW1 equivalent about the same time I dont understand. Wish I could remember what it was called. 1 October 2014 at 22:14. Id recommend the WW1 skirmish rules from Too Fat Lardies Through the Mud and the Blood. Really very good. 25 December 2014 at 10:53. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wargaming The Great War: Officers and Soldiers of the French Army 1914: Andre Joineau

Wargaming The Great War. Monday, 7 September 2009. Officers and Soldiers of the French Army 1914: Andre Joineau. I just picked up this superb visual reference (there isn't a lot of text) which has made me very keen to paint some French Infantry for the early war period. this surely must be the most spectacular army of the Great War and I just hope that Great War Miniatures will get around to some of the exotica like the Spahis and Algerian Tirailleurs. Wargaming The Great War. Tuesday, 2 September 2008. Prussian Guards: Second Platoon. The Guards uniform in Brussels. This example doesn't have the piping on the cuffs (guards had red piping at the top. At the bottom of the cuff) but as the war progressed uniforms became more utilitarian. Only guards had. The two white bars piped in red) on their collars; painting these was a challenge! Change the first platoon to match the second. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). WARGAMING THE GREAT WAR.
