Like the 35 lbs of honey our best hive gave us! Getting stung on the ankle made E unhappy but otherwise it hasn’t been too bad really. Thirty five lbs of honey amounts to about 15 frames worth, and there are 9 frames per super so you can calculate that each super might give a bit over 20 lbs. Why is that important? Where life smells g o o d. After an extremely wet spring and early summer, it finally dried up enough that we could get things out of the garden this fall. What a relief! Being a short growing season in Southern Minnesota (Zone 4a) we are basically pleased with whatever we can get. Friday, January 22, 2010. Driving into the city yesterday was REALLY neat. Because the clouds had come down so low it almost gave this look of the whole place being shorter. I mean, this was a REALLY thick fog so all could see was building-cloud. Alot of fun getting to see that. And certainly if you were someone lucky enough to see the city from afar it was JUST as cool. I mean, it was all but vanished from the outside. Oh, and yes, I went and just made up what it looks like inside the city.sorta.
