Last weekend, Saturday and Sunday then Monday when I woke up insanely early, I read Room. By Emma Donoghue. I had to read it all, right away. This is a book I'd vaguely heard about, but I picked it up rather randomly off the "Lucky Day! The whole big world would be way too much, not to mention unbelievable. The sec...

Hi, I'm Jamie. A freelance creative director / copywriter / sort-of-designer living. In New York. And I make internet things. Things like ads, apps and blood collection devices. Wednesday, September 12, 2012. I love my parents. I really should have posted this yesterday. Forgive me, Mom? It was my parents' 30th anniversary. That seems like such a long time, probably because it is. So Happy Anniversary! My parents were high school sweethearts. I kind of love that I can say that. They even got fake married in high school. My mom was only a few months past her 19th birthday when they got real married. My dad wasn't 21 yet. Mom was still a few months shy of 21 when I was born. As yo...

Crockpot curry chicken soup. February 12, 2018. This winter has been hard on all of us but especially me. Most days, I'm on fire and motivated by my goals and others I just want to stay in pjs all day. One thing that has started to become a staple of our weeks is soup sundays. Soup fills that warmth in me I'm usually lacking on lazy days. The kids rarely partake in soup eating (eyeroll emoji.), so don't feel bad if your kids don't eat soup cause ours won't either. 6 cups chicken broth. 4 tb of butter.
