FormFarm: March 2009
http://formfarm.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 15, 2009. Below are images for a project in development. I have used grasshopper in Rhino to create a weave generator tool that can be applied to any surface. As of now the pattern consists of a simple over and under logic but can be updated to allow for different methods of woven structures. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Processing Work Fall 2007.
FormFarm: October 2008

Friday, October 24, 2008. New felt chair images. The latest incarnation of the felt chair. This model proposes an expandable seat that can accommodate a variety of spatial and conditions. As the chair expands the resultant pockets create storage. As each pocket is filled the seat becomes increasingly stronger in compression. Monday, October 6, 2008. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Wednesday, May 21, 2008. The above movie was created using an image sequence from an old processing applet that controls the displacement, and transparency of a Maya sphere. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Processing Work Fall 2007.

FormFarm: felt chair
http://formfarm.blogspot.com/2008/10/felt-chair.html
Monday, October 6, 2008. Images of a chair project for work to create a chaise made from industrial felt. I realize Felt does not come with a car paint finish but one can dream. Not sure what the material restrictions are of Felt yet. Changes are sure to come. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Processing Work Fall 2007. New felt chair images.

Friday, June 13, 2008. No more mosquitoes, by fourtet. interpreted by a robot squid. My goal here was to use data taken from the music to drive the various attributes of this animation. Posted by Lars Berg. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
labLab: February 2008
http://larsberg.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 11, 2008. Surface populated with curly components. The cells here respond to changes in local intensities and variable thresholds by extending and twisting. In the beginning and end of the animation the cells are subdued because the attribute controlling their extension is very low, as this limit increases local variations are produced based on the distance from each cell to a locater. The aperture of these cells change in response to the distance from a locater. Posted by Lars Berg.

Wednesday, January 28, 2009. In maya, I used an image sequence to control the radius of individual particles and the video is a David Attenburrough highlight reel. Posted by Lars Berg. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
labLab: April 2008
http://larsberg.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 29, 2008. I controlled the aperture and color of these cells using flash to extract and export data from a video: http:/ pratt.edu/ lberg/finalSite. The result is a group of cells that operate as 3d pixels, once the data is taken into maya and converted into attributes that change over time it can be used to control anything from shaders to particle behavior. Anamorphic projections and variable perspectival distortion. Posted by Lars Berg. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Posted by Lars Berg.
