What actually happened was quite different. The more I thought about my donor, the more I wanted to get to know them, understand them and get a sense of who they really were. As my thoughts wandered an idea for a book was born, and after 15 long months I finally put 'For My Donor - 20 Years and Counting' into print.

The two "transplant" books that I have read are by two people that I hold extremely dear and close to my heart Mark Watson who wrote "For My Donor - 20 years and counting". And that was released about 18 months ago now and Kath Graham who recently just released her book "Life is for the Living". They are two very different books with two very different directions but both are equally amazing in their different ways. I guess the reason I very much stick to Fiction is because when it's real life it's too.
